A new Bomberman PSP game is coming out. It's called Bomberman Portable, but what's so great about it? Well, if you didn't like the new design of the characters, you can be happy now, because Konami is going back (maybe only with this game, but we don't know yet) to the original Bomberman style
Here are some screenshots. Notice how Bomberman has that round look again:
Honestly I'm happy with this, because I didn't like the new art style. Bomberman looks better round. lol
This is good news, since I'll be picking up a PSP by next year (for Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters) and I'm really pressed to name any good games besides the upcoming Ratchet and the Megaman/Megaman X remakes. Hopefully there will be a story mode as good as those on the 64, but the grid doesn't bode well for that prospect. They better correct their mistake with Bomberman DS and give it online play.
Yep, I like this style much better than the new style that appeared in Bomberman DS. Though apparently the single-player once again lacks a storyline: "...the only goal being to blast anything that moves." I'd invoke one of the meanings of PWP right now, but since that acronym has another meaning...well...
i doubt that, and if there is it will go along the lines of retrieving the three mystical machine guns that fuel planet Germany or something equally as lame
bomberman games has never been one for story-lines
This game looks nifty but I'm not getting a PSP. Or at least not any time soon.
What he said. It doesn't look compelling enough to me for me to go blow a few bucks on a PSP that could be perfectly wasted on, say...a number of good books at Borders or something.

haveing read though the manual of the first 64, i diddnt see anything speshal
still been meaning to buy a 64 so i can play the sodding thing
It's not like the storylines are epic, deep plots or anything like that, but compared to most of the other Bomberman games, even the Star Wars rip-off plot of Bomberman Hero is a vast improvement. Personally, I like Second Attack's story the best, even though I had to laugh to myself playing the game because I was like: "Dude, Bomberman usually fights robots, what's up with him battling otherworldly creatures? Isn't that, like...usually Link's job or something?"

You probuly won't have to Worry, because I doubt that this will ever be released in America since Bomberman Is'nt Popular in the States anymore.
and Besides, Not too many good Bomberman Games sell well in the U.S, because once a Bomberman Game sells all it's copies once for the whole month, they barely restock anymore copies, Trust me, My gamestop at my local mall barely has any bomberman games except only 1 copy of Bomberman Ds.
Bomberman Portable? I like it...Mind you, I can't be bothered getting a PSP. The DS has more games I like, although the PSP does have several Rockman titles...
But I think Bomberman would do better on the DS than a PSP, it's just better suited I think. Ugh, but they really screwed up Bomberman for the DS, why'd they leave it to UbiSoft? That game had so much potential. And whatever happened to our new Bomberman DS games we were expecting?
Well sor-ry. I was unaware of that, I just didn't expect it would take that long to produce them.
Well I said it like that because I'm a game programmer, making stuff isn't exactly easy and it takes time.
All I know is html, and it takes me forever. All I know how to do in java is make it say "hello" Which took me forever. I can only imagine how long it takes to make a game.

I originally signed up to be a Computer Games development major at my university, but then when I saw how much programming it took, I switched to Animation. But now I'm taking a fair amount of computer science/programming classes for my job as a visual computing researcher anyway, so I suppose I didn't really escape it...
