I dont know if its the site's fault or not, but im having a little bit of difficulty with this board for some reason. I dont know why, but today... when i open up a page on one of the forums, a screen will apear and say ?phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database??.   This has never happend before on the last bomberman message board. Some times it even takes me a few tries to even enter this site.

Yea Razon has told me about this but i have yet to see it, It might just be a server problem but we're not sure yet if it keeps happening please post and ill see if i can work it out

Odd, i've never seen it... im normaly the first to discover bad miserable miserable errors.

yea but i heard if you refresh it finds fixes it self, we probly just have a bad connection to the mysql

Is your sql database and your webpage both on the same server? Are they both on the same server farm?

there both on the same server, but it has a different hostname that i dont think phpbb is comfortable with lol

Just give it a few days if others have problems with it then we'll try to fix it

Yeah, that means it has to bounce off the dns, hopefully your server place has a dns personaly that has everything for that network though, otherwize make it access by ip ^^.

I have got a few errors but they are not really a problem.

Yea, thats happened to me a few times before in the past... but its really no big deal, just kind of anoying.   But i hope this critical error mess i've been getting wont be nearly as bad as compared to the whole "invallid session" nightmare that i, and a few others had on the last message board!

oh this happened to me too the ?phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database?? thing ! I just restarted my PC and it worked. :P

I've been getting the "phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database" quite a bit as well. A lot of times I feel like the post really went through and that I'll end up double posting or something, lol.

im looking in to it, im trying to talk to someone from phpbb but all there telling is that its a server problem and that the server might be running too slow, im going to try to edit something so dont be surprise if the board goes down for a few min...

EDIT:
it is a server problem the page is loading before the mysql or something like that,the database is to slow, so when ever Razon gets back online i have to ask him to try to contact hes host

I just met this error of doom, like five or seven times in a row, had to refresh like 4 times to get here so i could report that i saw it.

Errr... I get this problem occasionally.
But just not the last few days...

Yeh i got it tonight a few times aswell. It turns out that some other people on dreamhost are also having this problem but bman3022 emailed the person that said he knew how to fix it so just wait alittle longer.

We found that we're not the only people having this problem on this webhost so we're looking in to it, ive emailed some guy how has fixed the problem on his forum and i also emailed support so we'll see if i recive any responces
