Has anyone ever played these? They were fun back in the Day, the gameplay of these were a Mixture of Zelda, Platforming and japanese culture, each of these games focused on the small spikey blue haird ninja Goemon and his friends Ebisumaru, Yae and Sasuke fighting variouse weird groups of enemies using robots and kinds of weird stuff.

Like Bomberman, Mystical ninja Games were'nt too sucessful here in America Either, reasons why because it's weird japanese culture humor was too crazy for the american audiance, the mystical ninja games had to go under alot of changes when they were brought to america, they had to re-write the entire scripts to poke fun at American Culture.

I LOVE Goemon games. I still get the Impact song stuck in my head from time to time. I've seen clips of an anime of it somewhere, but I can't find any downloads for bittorrent anywhere. When I figure out IRC, ill look there.

True, There was an Anime Series Licensed by ADV Films, but however it did'nt do too well in America and was disliked by Many Goemon Fans because it did'nt have the same Crazy Humor or Adventure-feel like the awsome games did.

and Like I said, Goemon games are'nt popular here anymore in america like Bomberman, infact, Goemon's Last American Appearance( If not his final Last) was Konami Krazy Racers for Gameboy Advance, now that was Awsome ^^

and what was very odd is that the first Goemon game which was brought to America was the first ganbare Goemon game for the SNES, they changed Goemon and Ebisumaru's names to Kid Ying and Dr Yang. but however in the later american sequels, they retained they're original japanese names.

also, how come in the first SNES Goemon game that Yae had Blue hair instead of her traditional green hair?

Yeah I know, it is kind og corny, I've only seen the First 4 episodes of it on Demand;s Anime Network Channel, and the plot bares more resemblance to Sonic X where Goemon, Ebisumaru,Yae and Sasuke enter into a Modern-day tokyo city world full of Humans and meet this human nerdy kid(Forgot his Name) and he's simalaur to SOnic X's Chris Thorndyke.

They also have a Megaman OAV whiched used a Plot simalar to the Ganbae Goemon anime where Megaman Roll, Protoman,Dr Light,Rush and Dr wily enter a world full of humans.

Didn't the original cartoon feature them in a world of humans though? I've seen the original megaman cartoon a number of times and regular people were in it.

Fighting Robot... duh nuh nuh, Megaman!

I wanna watch those now. Argh!

I finished the anime. Usually I feel sad because there is no more, but it is humanly impossible not to be in a good mood after watching that anime. Its the kind you can watch over and over again.

Hmmm... I'm going to look into this, that I am.

Angelus I too have noticed that once in awhile it's not too sad to see an anime series end cause it's fun enough to watch over and over.

Some examples would be Azumanga Daioh and The Excel Saga!

All though that Ganbare Goemon Games are'nt popular in the states like Bomberman is, but how this Anime version of Goemon managed to make it to the states is beyond me and it's many years old like in 1997.

Im surprised too, there have only been 3-4 goemon games in the US.
ADV probably thought it would be a fun one to dub.

WOw! Awsome, I did'nt Known Vic Mignogna( the VOice of Edward Elric in Full Metal Alchemist) Did Goemon's Voice in the English Version of the Ganbare Goemon Anime. Also, I can't Beleive that Sasuke(robot Ninja) is voiced by Greg Ayres, the same guy who voiced Chrono in Chrono Crusade @_@.

to find out more about the English Voice actors in the Ganbare Goemon Anime, go here.
