A bit late, but a veteran of Hudson Soft has passed away. He had a big hand in shaping Bomberman's art design as we know it today.

As mentioned on Ragey's Twitter: https://twitter.com/ragey0/status/1006291676846022659

Can anyone specifically pinpoint how he influenced Bomberman's look?

So who created the earlier Bomberman designs?

Though I will say this, Mizuno made what was already a good design into perfection. :)
