Hey guys!

I have a great feeling Bomberman is going to be the upcoming DLC character for Smash Bros. 4 port on the Nintendo Switch.
With the release of Super Bomberman R not only being a launch title, but an updated revival to the series, this by far gives Bomberman a greater chance on joining the official roster.
What do you guys think?

Just Dance, Skylanders, Shovel Knight, Blaster Master and Dragon Quest Heroes were all launch titles.

Will they have reps in Smash too?

Yes.

OK... To be fair, Bomberman has been requested character for long while now, way longer than Shovel Knight, Blaster Master, etc. Bomberman has also had a game tittle on majority of Nintendo's platform since 1980s. So believe me when I say, he has great chance of being an upcoming DLC.

So has Goku. So believe me when I say, he has great chance of being an upcoming DLC.

Game director Sakurai has expressed disinterest of adding anime tropes to his game. So no, I don't believe Goku has great chance of being upcoming DLC.

Bomberman has a better chance of being in Smash than Goku.

However, some abstract Just Dance figure has a better chance of being in Smash than Bomberman...

...Okay, that's a joke (although, Wii Fit Trainer!), but really, it feels like Bomberman will never be in Smash. He's had a hugely popular, decades-long franchise in Japan, which extended beyond the borders to lesser success, and yet, for example, Lucas, a character who appeared in a single Japan-exclusive game, has been appearing since Brawl.

I never like being a downer, but, I don't have a lot of hope for Bomberman in Smash after all these years...  

If he doesn't get it, I won't be able to be disappointed, but on the rare chance that he does get in, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe the resurgence in popularity could help.

There's always Smash Switch, which may have gotten disproved. Pretty sure Konami already turned down Smash 4 though.

The scarier part: How would be be handled if he were to get in. Hopefully closer to his Dream Mix T.V counterpart than how he's represented in Smash fangames, which would make the most sense. Hopefully using his Generations design, at least for an alt.
