Poll is pretty self explanatory, looking for people's opinions on which game had the more interesting / memorable custom sets.

In my own opinion, B64's custom sets are more interesting. It might be because I played that game first / longer or perhaps because the models are better than TSA's battle mode models, which are really ugly even for N64 standards. Not sure why those were used, but it does help B64's custom sets stand out more in my mind. A lot of the designs are quite nice, like the Dragon or even the Kitty set. As much as I love the Tank body from TSA, I think overall B64's random joke part selection is better than TSA's. TSA does reuse a number of B64's though, so not sure how that counts.

What are your thoughts?

I'm going to hold off on voting for now as I haven't made a decision, but I'd like to lay out some facts for consideration here:

Number of Sets
* B64 : 10
* TSA : 16

Number of Unique Sets
* B64 :5
* TSA : 11

Sets Common to Both Games
* Knight
* Cat
* Ribbon/Slash Claws/Ribbon Dress/Basketball Shoes
* Top Knot/Fans/Kimono/High Heels (names changed for easier visuals)
* Gold
* Geta (just the shoes)
* Boxing Gloves (just the hands)

So, TSA actually includes more than half of B64's entire list, and has a greater amount of total items. Does quantity mean quality? No, but it's important to note which sets are common to both before deciding which game had a better offering. Basically, what we're comparing here are the five sets unique to B64 to the 11 sets that are unique to TSA. These are:

Bomberman 64
* Dragon
* Iron
* Sunglasses/Duck Head/Drill Arms/Duck Legs
* Chicken/Silver (horse)/Wing Arms/Animal Slippers
* Smile/Karate Man

Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!
* Kappa
* Rider
* Painter
* SF (Robot)
* Clown
* Mohawk/Leather Jacket/Kaiser Knuckles/Leather Boots
* Moustache/Tank Body/Bravo (Fans)/Bigfoot
* Headgear/Elephant/Kung Fu Shoes
* Rabbit/Duck
* Old Man Head/Family Restaurant (Apron)/Puppet Gloves/Pommy Slippers
* Merchant (Cowboy)

I do agree that TSA's multiplayer player graphics were pretty bad. I've no idea why they used lower quality models for the Battle Mode, or why they included a couple of body models that have major clipping problems with feet (the Tank Body clips horribly with Bigfoot, and there is not a single set of feet that don't clip through the Pink Dress. Seriously.), or why they included a bunch of selectable AI players instead of other Bombermen when they don't even allow you to play as the other characters. Weird decisions abound.

I don't much have an opinion either way, but I did want to at least applaud plasm's analysis. :peace:

I want a pair of Pommy slippers...
