Not to be the bringer of bad news, but Konami just picked up where they left off last year and hammered the last nail in the coffin by putting a final end to the Hudson Soft company (1973-2012).
Bomberman Creator Hudson Soft Lays Down Its Last Bomb wrote:
Website Andriasang, has translated news that Konami is shutting down Hudson Soft, a developer best known for its Bomberman and Bonk's Adventure franchises, as well as several other titles that have endeared gamers of all ages.
Veteran Japanese game developer Hudson Soft is to be formally dissolved on March 1st, owner Konami has announced.
As reported by Andriasang, the publisher issued notice of the impending action today, stating that Hudson will be absorbed into Konami Digital Entertainment.
Even though they issued this following statement afterward, it seems doubtful that they'd be assigned any work on their products outside of mobile games, which they're being used and were bought out for. Which is indeed a shame, Hudson Soft will be missed. http://andriasang.com/comzok/hudson_death/

Well, that's a bummer. Not that I was still a huge fan of their work the past few years but it's never a good thing to see an old company you loved close its doors.
Guess it's back to respecting Konami again for me. Poor Hudson Soft... :(
Speaking of which, this isn't gonna cause all Hudson games on the Wii Shop Channel, eShop, and even X-Box LIVE Marketplace to be permanently de-listed, is it?
