I remembered an idea for a Bomberman game I had a while back, but being that there was no way in hell I could make it at the time, I abbandoned it. But now I have the RPG Maker, so now I can make it. I can give you details on its story once I've made significant progress.
Anyways, I need to use the Astral Knights, umm, should call them Elemental Knights in this case but-whatever! Same thing :P
Anywho, since every other TSA fan is too lazy to do it, I had to create my own sprites. I decided on SB3-5 style as it is classic, simple, and easier than SB1-2 style. >.>
Behold!
Baelfael
I have to admit though, I'm not the happiest about his backside but it is still pretty good. I kept screwing up when I wanted to make it better so oh well.
I'll be making the other Knights, as well as Rukifellth and Lilith too. Pommy as well, but that would be a little easier as there already is a Pommy in a similar style if not same style *Cough* Bomberman Tournament *Cough*
What do you think? Feedback please :D

Hmmm... he's kind of too dark, don't you think?... and you can't really see his face... It's a good start though!
(Also, why are you using .jpg format? That kind of ruins the pixellation for sprites...)
Updated the first post, go see :P
I'm not using jpg format, nor do I ever. I'm using bmp. It's amazing how many times I've seen people make that mistake that it is completely laughable XD
No seriously, I saw it like 6 times lol
EDIT:
Oh I get how you made that mistake, lol. Stupid photobucket.
You should try PNGs. They're about the same quality as bitmaps, but they conserve a bit more space. Most pixel-art based programs can use PNG format and many programs (RM2k and RM2k3 included (not sure about XP, but it probably does)) will allow for PNG use.
By the way this sheet looks, it looks like the "fire" is hair, when it looks more like a crown to me in the reference pic. Also looks like the scouter (the visor on his darker eye) looks like it's actually part of his face when it probably isn't.
But for a first attempt, it is not bad at all. Sorry if I sounded nitpicky.
It may sound somewhat irrational, but I suggest finding more reference pics, from different angles if you can (this should be obvious, but the higher the quality, the better). It can help make finding little details much easier. Obviously you won't be able to put in every single detail on small sprite like that, but it doesn't hurt to add a little more detail.

All official art shows only his front side :P

Well I've sorta handed the job over to Dark Zaphe after the Baelfael he showed me in the chat. Even so, it turned out so badly because I was taking colors from the screenshots I got from TSA, as well as using that for main reference. Not to mention I was sticking rather close to the Bomberman sprites I had as well.

Ok I think it's finished, unless you need any specific poses. Technically I think that Baelfael really does turn his head back and forth in TSA as he walks, so I might edit this and make him turn his head. I guess I just assumed that he doesn't, as the Heavenly Kings of SB4 don't, and that was the style of sprite I was looking at.
At the bottom are some frames of his sides, without an arm, so that a differently posed arm can be layered over them.
Not sure if I'm entirely happy with his turret arm in the front and back walking frames.
EDIT: Umm, ignore the "mask" thing, I was tired when I typed that in. It should be 15 or 16 px like the others.
EDIT 2: I guess what I was thinking with the "mask" thing was what kind of mask he'd probably have in an open-fielded game without grids... like TSA. But that doesn't apply in the situation that this sprite is going to be used in, hah.
Nice job on Behemos, Zaphe. Can't wait to see what else you'll cook up.
It's Rukifellth :P

True, but I'm sure there are several screen shots out there on the Internet.
Yeah but not good shots. Why would I waste my time on the internet looking for screenshots I may not find? I get my own from the emulator :P That's what I gave to Dark Zaphe so he could make them.

Aw man, how'd I miss that?

Even better! You can just get whatever snapshots you'd need just like that!
But regardless, reference material is the way to go when it comes to this kind of stuff.

There are some extra hatless and capeless sprites off to the side (as well as one without his sword from the back), I had to make them anyway in order to get the proportions figured out in my head.
(Capes are not my favorite thing to animate)
Thanks for all the comments.
