I was wondering who is your all time favourite Bomberman in the ENTIRE series? (Yer know Bagura, Plasma Bomber, Max, Hige Hige Bandits, etc) Mine's Machbom from the Fantasy Race

Ashtarth from Bomberman 64: The Second Attack. Followed by Orion from Bomberman 64.

And if you meant main villains, then probably Moujo of the High Hige Bandits. He strikes me as ridiculous (particularly that pink speedo he sports).

For me it's hard to say. I've always had kind of a soft spot for Hero Bomber (World and Wars) and Brain Bomber, but not by much.

Wait. So, is this about who our favorite Bomberman villain is, or just our favorite Bomberman character? The title says one thing, but some of the responses say another... >_>

Guess it doesn't matter, Plasma Bomber is my favorite character in the series. If we're talking about the big villains, though... I don't know. I guess Sirius, if he counts as a "big" villain.

I don't know if Mach Bomber can really be considered a villain, per se, can he? He's more like a rival. Hero Bomber is on the completely opposite side of the spectrum. But, who even knows what this topic is about.

I don't know much about him, but I do know that that doesn't make him a villain. In fact, even if he is against Shiro/Kuro, that doesn't neccessarily make him a villain, it would make him more of an antagonist.

Example is how Magus from Chrono Trigger isn't technically a villain (Though he is portrayed as one) because he's not trying to destroy the world or anything, just wants to destroy Lavos. He would be an antagonist simply for being against Crono and his friends.

Sorry I couldn't think of a Bomberman-related example. I've been playing Chrono Trigger all day >.>

Don't antagonist and villain mean the same thing? He's going against those two after all (In the Credits you can see that Shiro has been beating him twice on the first and third slide)

If that's the case then I just made a mess by making Mach the main antagonist of 90% of my Bomberman fics by trying to do nothing but try to kill Shirobom

Ehh... not necessarily. The antagonist simply refers to the force (may it be a person, thing, or organization) that's against the protagonist(s). Although villains are usually antagonists, antagonists aren't always villains.

There's actually a pretty good example on Wikipedia that says that sometimes in fiction, the protagonist is actually the "villain" character, as the story is told form his/her point of view while the "hero" in this case would be viewed as the antagonist.

So while in most cases villains are antagonists, it's not really correct to say that antagonists and villains are one and the same thing.

EDIT: Regarding DarkFire's example, I'm not sure that alone would technically make Magus an "antagonist." I'd say Magus is more of an "antihero" then an "antagonist." But Magus is a bit of a complex character, so it's really kind of hard for me to classify him as a character.

Just because he's an opponent racer doesn't make him a villain. Kuro is technically Shiro's opponent, and vice versa, in Fantasy Race. That doesn't make Shiro and Kuro villains.

Racer is more like a rival, or antagonist, as Soniti and DF have said. I haven't translated his bio yet, but I would presume that he's probably the running champion of the race or something.

Nah, I think it's more of a common mistake then "poor logic." But now you know better! :D

My favourite is Jet Bomber from SB4, when i first signed up on the original forum in... 2002 ish that name was already taken so i settled for my second favourite

Heh then I must have 13 antagonists (Mach, Plasma, Brain, Golem, Magnet, Square Pink, Mujoe, Bagura, Mermaid, Flame, Grand, Hige Hige and Thunder) but only two villains..(Bagura and Brain Bomber. The latter wants to destroy humanity at times while the former wants to take over random areas)

PS I was talking about one of my fanfictions which is some kind of a sentai/slice of life hybrid
