Metropolitan Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for threatening to blow up Japanese game maker Hudson. The suspect, Takao Ike of Kanagawa Prefecture, was apparently dissatisfied with the quality of Hudson's games.
From October 2008 to January 16 of this year, the suspect threatened Hudson 11 times, sending emails that said things like he was sending a bomb to the company that would kill everyone or demanding that 80 trillion yen be brought to JR Takamatsu Station.
JR Takamatsu Station is in Kanagawa Prefecture. The suspect worked part-time as a courier.
In a signed affidavit, the suspect admitted, "I did it because I posted my demands concerning the games, but the games didn't improve."
I can't stop giggling at this! (I'm also torn between "Protesting: URE DOIN IT RONG" and "Yeah, YOU GIVE THOSE LAZY HUDSON S-O-BS THE WHAT FOR!!!") This is way too perfect to be real.
80 trillion yen... which converts to nearly 900 billion USD... well that seems like a perfectly legitimate number. How many lifetimes would it take to even count the money to see if it was all there.
Maybe they should start adding teams in their Bomberman games like Bomberman Live and Ultra and making games like Bomberman Blast at least DECENT to play online.

only bomb those who have challenged you to bomberman, and only bomb them in the world of 2 dimensional virtual reality. bombing in the real world is rarely a good idea.
closest thing to bomberman in real life is probably grenade battles. such as a wwi trench battle. ever read wwi books or watch wwi movies? wwi is under-rated. it was a very good war, with much greater potential for video games, movies, novels, etc than wwii.
wwii was ok, but it gets way too much attention, and most of the attention is by limp wrists making hippy propaganda . i am sick of all the limp wristed wwii movies.

Oh man yeah, WWI? Best war evah. We should all get out our team shirts and riddle each other with bullets and blow off each others' faces and arms and legs and dig out big old trenches, only this time set up cameras so those who don't get volunteered in can watch it at home on TV while they eat and joke around.
I do agree with the guy, though HUDSON seems to be going back on track... Custom Battler Bomberman, for instance, was a very good entry to the series.
Did anyone here play Bomberman Blast! retail version? It had a nice storyline and some cool characters.
I just wish they would stop doing Bomberman Land, but some people like that, so... oh, well.
Wow, that's pretty funny actually. I'm taking a liking of the current Bomberman games, although I do wish Hudson would conjure up a Bomberman game with a story, like Bomberman 64.

You mean there's more than just "Save teh Miis!"?
...dammit, why does Hudson release old fashioned BMan games with decent plot only in manners that do not allow me to get them??

If the Bomberman Blast retail version has a storyline that's more than "Save the Miis", I'mma gonna have to look into getting it...
Surprisingly, it has.
However, I can't seem to find it anywhere, gee... not even torrents!
In any case, although it has the "save the miis" element, it is not like Bomberman 64 -- instead, more like the SNES Bomberman games, with the bosses in each stage and so on.
Reminds me I still have to try to inject Bomberman 64 on Sin & Punishment and Ocarina of Time... oh, well.

Ah, well I still find those type of Bomberman games enjoying enough. Right now I'm playing through Bomberman Generation, and ignoring the poor VAs since it's english translated, I'm having a blast!
In my opinion, we never see any good Bomberman games anymore because everyone complains the good games we Bomberman fans want to play copy Mario. Its true that Bomberman Hero, the best Bomberman game (to me it is), is a copy of Mario, only by the plot and jump ability. I don't even care if the plot is a copy or not, as long as its Good VS Evil I'll enjoy it.
