Intersting article. Those just look like pictures in Bomberman Live so we'll see what they'll add or change at a later date. I hope they bump up the local human players up to 6 (PS3 allows up to 7 wireless controllers out of the box). I also hope it has team play online and locally.

Well, I guess we shall see what they end up doing. I know 4 player local isn't quite enough for me when I do hang out with friends. Someone always has to sit out. The team play is a natural requirement. :/ Being able to use purchased costumes with your local players would also be nice. Is this ever going to be/was it ever fixed on Live? Just a small thing but customization like that should be a given for any playing off your local save data. It's not like they can take that and use it elsewhere. Maybe the most elite who take the trouble to load the harddrive in some other system...but come on, who's going to do that for costumes?
Well since there's already an abundant amount of good PS3 games available on disk or PSN, you're missing out if you're only playing PS2 games on it....
Anyway, this game will be available around christmas time. And as with most PSN games, this one will also be available for sharing/trading.

OK, reasons to buy PS3:
1- LittleBigPlanet
2- Metal Gear Solid 4
3- New Bomberman
Add Valkyria Chronicles, I've never played it but my friends who have loved it... It's quite the stand out game for its genre. If there was any reason why I'd buy a PS3 it'd likely be that.
Well first off let me start off by saying I've played Bomberman Live thoroughly. Understand that this game is primarily a port of Bomberman Live + all 3 expansion packs packaged into the game.
Gameplay
It's your typical Bomberman game. If you've played Bomberman Live then you already know what to expect with this game. 8 players online, 7 players offline local play and up to 4 of you can go online together
Graphics
-After playing the 360 version, it does seem that this version game is a little more crisp. Now it could be to having different connection settings on the consoles (component and HDMI) but still, it seems everything down to the blocks and the pass-through bombs are more detailed.
Sound
-Sound is primarily the same as Live. Nothing fancy about this
Verdict
This game is well worth the $10 and it's technically cheaper than what the Live version was with expansions. You'll have tons of replay value from this game whether it's from playing online with people or just having a great party game at the house for friends who come over.
Now that's all aside, let's get into what's missing from the game.
The Gripes
For the life of me, I do not understand why this game does not save custom game settings or camera angles. On Bomberman Live you could make up to 3 custom game sets so you would not have to go back through and customize each setting to how you want them. You would just go to "Custom Game 1" and voila, all your presets are there and you make the room.
There are 4 camera angles in this game. They are
1 Slanted-View
2 Slanted View Zoomed In
3 Top Down View
4 Top Down View Zoomed In
I perfer playing with View 4. Everytime I go into a game and a new game starts, I have to cycle through every view I want.
These are the things (camera and custom game settings) that get annoying after awhile. You would think that these things would be able to be saved onto the saved data file. Interesting enough, if you do happen to go to your Saved Data Utility, you'll notice that there is actually a Bomberman Ultra file and underneath it, it says "Settings". So obviously the game is saving SOMETHING. This is like saving Sound/Music level or Brightness/Contrast ratio. You know, simple things that you save in game. Just have the game, save it to the hard drive (like many other games do)
Lastly as far as signing multiple people online. When 4 people go online together, they ALL share the same name. So if I and 3 friends went online you'd only see Ven, Ven, Ven, Ven. Now when all of you are in a game, it's extremely annoying to have to figure out which color you are. It turns into a "Hey, you move first, then you, ect" type deal. The feature of differentiating users by adding a (1), or (2) to the end of their name is NOT exclusive to Xbox Live. There are other games on PSN that allow your guests to have numbers on the end of their name. Supersonic Rocket Powered Battle comes to mind (you can have 4 vs 4 matches in that game).
I know this game is a port and sometimes ports are not as "polished" as their originals but the things lacking in this game seem to be that of the BASIC nature that you wouldn't even think twice should be in a game (this almost reminds meof the Orange Box port - yeah you guys remember that lol). I really do not see why this game is lacking such basic features that are commonly found in other games (hell games from older gens).

@Ven: You can actually play locally up to 8 players; The PS3 Supports USB Controllers. I am actually playing locally with 4 using a DualShock 3, a Sixaxis, An SNES controller (via a USB adapter), and a PSP (via FuSa Gamepad). In a game like Bomberman where you only really need the face buttons it works great! Also, I don't know if anyone knew this, but you can all customize locally by Pressing X with a different controller on Customize Bomberman. It'll save the costume to the player number. Anyway, great game.
