I'm Dakirbydude's younger brother, and I'm new to the site. I've liked Bomberman for a long time, but not as long as my brother has. Anyway, I finally created an account, and I am excited to be here. It's going to be a lot of fun.
By the way, I was the winner of the battle at the top of the message, and not my brother
Nice reference in your username dude. 5656 is right up there with ^^VV<><>BAStart
Tis a pleasure
I don't like cheating.
What's this?
That's the famous Konami Code. Also known as the Contra Code. It's a secret (or not so secret, depending XD) code used in certain Konami games (hence the name) and does different things, such as extra lives (or was it infinite? I forget) in the case of Contra.[/nerdspasm]
Welcome to the forums, btw.

I don't really consider it cheating... seeing as without it you don't get very far in contra/lifeforce unless you are really bloody good. I looked it up, could've swore you needed an extra BA, game doesn't kill the code if you put it in, and its how my brother showed it to me back in the early 90s. I still let it stand that if you're cool you need a select in there though. I guess i gotta pull out my nes soon...
--edit--- and it gave 30ish lives a continue in contra and life force... i really forgot what it did in gradius if anything...
I don't know if it's the same code but in gradius 3 one of the codes you can imput gives you full powerups. There's also another code that makes you just self destruct so beware...

Yeah, if you entered the origional code you'd blow up... if you replaced Left and Right with the trigger L and R you'd get the powerups...
And I looked up on the original gradius as well... gives all powerups... I was just so used to entering the code the contra/lifeforce way I didn't know bout the pause to enter in gradius...
