ROFL
The enemies are from bomberman games, so are the powerups, music, and the boss of that stage is Kuro bomberman! And he even dies like they usually do when you beat him!
Lovely find on youtube!

Apparently the owners of the videos I linked keep getting modded. Updated again with another video. |

I played that game (got to the last boss but lost ) so let me tell you: Bomberman has not learned how to fly, simply enough because that's not Bomberman.
In fact, as shown by the intro, what you control is a giant robot assmbled and piloted by Bombermen. Sort of a Bomber-Gundam in other words. |

Star Parodier will be released on the Virtual Console in the following weeks!
I can't wait to finally play this game with music!
And all shooters fans reading this... Gradius II (Turbografx CD) and Final Soldier (Turbografx) are already out! |

Pretty good videos. This is one of the more interesting crossover and/or spinoff side-jaunt entries to the canon, though more a nod to Bomberman for fans really. Using his bombs as shot would be pretty useful, as well as his chi. The whole Bomberman in a mecha thing was explored quite well in the Bomberman B-Daman animes. In IV especially since that is where it first crops up. If you take Star Wars, Voltron, and Bomberman and shake them up into a flurry, that is what you would have ended up with really. The sad thing is, the B-daman series later took the idea and stripped away Bomberman. Instead of Bombers in cool mecha suits you have these micro mechs these punk kids carry that fire from their guts, much the same as Bomberman did in the B-daman series. The marble shooter thing just went out of control and spun into the Battle B-Daman series of toys and anime, and where is Bomberman I ask?
The only redeeming thing I have found so far in them is that the game play of the Battle B-daman stuff is ok on the GBA, there are whacked jokes in the dialogue (the best line being the punk kid telling his mother not to fall in love with him after calling her by her first name), and there's some kind of mouse mecha with a cheese block on it. Not nearly as awesome as this PCE Super CD entry. |
