A lot of webpages have the feature in which the page slowly loads from top to bottom and when you leave it does the same thing. The sites often freeze up on me for some reason.

Does anyone know if you can set your browser to just load the page?

ive never heard of a thing that would make the page load slower. Who would want that? A good webmaster would want there page to load faster. maybe it isnt a feature at all maybe your connection is a little slow.

I have a fast connetion from my university, and my computer is pretty good and new (inspiron 9100 with good options).

I will try to find an example and post a link, but now that I need one I cant remember which sites have them.

I did not explain it well the first time. It is a graphics effect.

Yeh i've seen stuff like that awhile ago on my other pc but i havent seen any in along time nor did they bother me then.

Yeah, i think thats javascript, or java or something, cept i don't know what your talking about. Moral of the story is, no really mainstream sites seem to do stuff like that, so, go with the ones that don't suck. ^^

Right and if websites really did have them there would be no real way to stop it unless you like desable javascript things, im beggining to think that your think of sites that have huge pictures or something in the background

I think you're looking at large pictures, They tend to load up slowly though or it might be spyware.
