I pay the 2 bucks every week for a lottery ticket on the off chance that I might win and I can use the money to buy up the license for Bomberman and straight up give it to Nintendo.
Shut up, I know it's never going to happen, but a man can dream, can't he? And what's $2 anyway?
I would buy this shirt without a second doubt. I always said that Capcom is the worst, but they're slowly recovering in a good way while Konami is hitting the truck again and again.
While this is specifically limited to Japan and the Steam version of the game, this is a terrifying step in the way of nickel and diming consumers. MB coins are an in-game currency that can either be earned by logging in daily to MGSV via the daily bonuses or by purchasing them with actual cash. These MB coins are now only valid for a 6-month period, regardless of how the player acquired them. As of their notice today, February 17, that clock on the coins has been reset, but come August 17, those coins will disappear.

As I said, while this is only for a specific platform in a specific region, there’s now the chance that Konami will decide this plan needs to migrate to other platforms and other regions. Let alone tighten that expiry date to something shorter. That’s not something I want to think about. And heaven forbid any other company think about adopting the same model.
It's all about the money. Unforunately, squeezing continuous profits out of people from the same game seems more effective than just selling them solid, well-rounded video games. And since they've already crossed that threshold, why wouldn't they go for broke (no pun intended) and come up with even more weasely tactics?
The video game industry is becoming a game in and of itself.
Wow. Expiring microtransactions? What is wrong with Konami, seriously?
I was recently feeling a little nostalgic when I was playing some Konami games on NES and realizing how much cool stuff they had back then. It's a shame they continue to tarnish and destroy their own legacy while taking all the Hudson Soft IPs with them.
Sorry about the bump but if I had a billion dollars, then I will buy all of the Hudson IPs along with said game library and put everything Hudson Soft into the public domain. I hate konami that much.
