As I promised, I have finished editing the scans I made of the Bomberman card set my wife got me several years ago as a gift. I have posted it elsewhere to go with some of my reviews so if you wish to add it on another website of your own, please ask me first. I am directing you to the Flickr set so if you need a larger size click on all sizes and pick one that fits your needs. The main size on Flickr and shown below in the example is not the size I scanned them as, so you have a higher resolution option available.
The scans come out well overall, though dust and so forth is visible at times. I really like the artwork on these cards, so let me know what you think. Some of the art is on other materials such as the Strategy Guides for the SFC titles, and some I have not seen before.
Something I thought of as I looked over these was how much I'd love to see a Bomberman football game using the various characters and their special skills. Something like the Strikers game. Can you guess what got me thinking about this?
Those are all awesome! Any clue where I could find those for sale online?
Regulus has the right idea. I actually got these around 4 years ago on eBay. I'd like to say it was one of my holiday gifts that year, but I honestly do not remember. I just know they were bought off eBay.
You might be able to get a set off Yahoo Japan, as eBay is proving less and less fruitful as they kill off their vendors with stupid policies and tactics.
That is a-frickin mazing! Too bad Bomberman isn't near as popular anywhere else.... We don't get that kind of merchandise.... We didn't even get the two games those cards are mostly based off of....

Thanks for taking the time to scan those!
I'm glad several of you enjoyed them. You're very welcome. It was my pleasure to make the artwork available on those, as I had never seen them until my wife came up with those and I figured as they were asked about in the photo it couldn't hurt to scan them ahead of schedule. :)
Ah, there's even bosses machines, very nice... so it seems these cards were meant for a MtG like game (they have values for each character).
I wonder what the rules were like.
Anyway, thankee

It seems as if they were, yes. I have seen the videos describing the Bakugaiden trading card game and know of a Jetters one as well, but I have not seen rules anywhere yet. You could probably code up a Flash game using the card scans if someone had the rules or you made up them to fit the cards.
I'm glad you all enjoyed them. They're fun to look at but having them digitized is even better since the artwork is pretty cool. I know I always say that, but I love the Hudson artwork!
