well it would be an expensive trip for someone like me from the east coast to go to the west coast for an anime con. So 2009 might be better then 08 since It'll give me and others the time to save up for it and prepare ourselves. If we planned one for this coming summer thats only about 7-9 months away and i don't think a lot of us would be able to go with such a short preparation time.
Maybe I'm wrong about this? What do you guys think? Summer of 2009 at an anime con in California? I just checked out Animecons.com and there are a number of cons during the summer for this year. They don't have any listed for 2009 yet but if they generally take place around the same time each year we've got 4 possible choices!

Fanimecon, may, had 12,000 attendees in 07
Anime Expo, july, had 44,000 attendees in 07
Comic-con, july, had 125,000 attendees in 07
