The original DS, DS Lite, 3DS, and 3DS XL can play most European and Japanese DS games. DSi and DSi XL owners are S.O.L.
Edit-
The DSi's and DSi XL's region locking was hardware specific, where as the 3DS and 3DS XL's region locking is game specific. Japanese and European 3DS games, as well as Japanese and European DS games with DSi functionality won't work on American 3DS's. |
