Is it something to do with being hacked?

Portscans is where someone sees what ports on your computer are open. Basically portscanning used becouse hackers are looking for an open gateway to get into your computer.

I don't know that much about proxies really, i don't have much experience with them, and i havn't really payed that much attention to them yet. Which proves i need more experience.

Who knows, but why would your firewall exactly permit portscans. Better question, how could it stop it. All the portscanning is is sending packets and seeing which ones get threw and which ones get blocked by the firewall. Normaly doesn't matter eatherway though, just becouse, your firewall doesn't have to block portscans, just non authorized access.
