I've never seen a yellow Louie since the Fantasy Race Game

Yeah, I thought about that... But decided to put her in there anyway. The previous comic had a regular colored Bomberman in it... but then again, I guess I could have used Pretty Bomber or one of the World Bombers again or something. >_>

Were there no Louies in the battle mode of the Bomberman remake they released on PS1? (Or the Party Edition perhaps?)

Louies were in Party Edition, but only on "Medium" mode, which had the World Bombers from SB3 in it. If you chose "Hard" mode, you'd get to play as the Heavenly Kings and Great Bomber (as well as Honey and Kotetsu), but you wouldn't have Louies; Hard mode introduced a bunch of new animal things, some of which had new abilities like blocking bomb blasts or eating bombs.
