...? is that snakes revenge in your signature... for shame...
Yes it is lol
I find the quote to be absolutely hilarious, and thus why I put it up. I originally wanted to make it an avatar, but yeah, it's too big and resizing made it look like garbage, so it's part of my signature for now.
And yeah, I'm actually playing it, and it's not a bad game. Just not a good Metal Gear game.

Yeah, other then a few parts it's not so bad, I've a copy of it... and luckily it somewhat inspired Kojima to make a better MG2.
Still, for shame.
I used to have a copy of it, and I absolutely no idea what happened to it as it's not with my other NES games anymore. Been playing it on a NES emulator on the computer. Mostly playing it for the lawls and the surprisingly decent Metal Gear gameplay (minus side scrolling parts, those are beyond lame).

-Spring Season mostly complete!-
Shows I ended up watching....
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai AKA - We Still Don`t Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day.
Great series about a group of friends who drifted apart after a terrible incident and how they slowly come back together and overcome it all. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Interesting story and characters/development.
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko AKA -Electromagnetic Wave Woman and Adolescent Man
Picked this up late in the season by recommendation. Great series though incomplete. Need moar! Love the girls in this show all moe Ryuuko was my favorite. she was adorable. Not much substance to the show's story but the cast/characters are great fun to watch and Shaft does good animation as well. Didn't liek the opening song at first but it quickly grew on me after hearing a few times. Hopefully we'll see more of this series next year!
Dog Days
I had mixed opinions of this show early on. As I finally committed to watching the rest of it it was merely average, though the voice cast was fantastic. Eclair was my favorite character. I'm quickly becomnig a big fan of Ayana Taketatsu http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=creator&creatorid=590 I can usually pick out her voice right away when I start watching a show she's in.
Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera
Hilarious ridiculous show. I enjoyed it quite a bit. A lot of sexual humor and wackiness to be had. Surprisingly very high production values on this too. animation was gorgeous for a show like this.
Maria Holic Alive
Finished it today. I liekd the first season a bit better but this was still fun to watch. It's become very episodic in nature and just seems to jump all over the place. Still love the cast though, Asami Sanada ddint get enough spotlight though *frown*
Nichijou
Looks like this will run another season, which is wonderful. Loving this show. Very funny, the sense of humor is not for everyone though.
Gosick
Still behind on this. It's the last one i need to catch up on. Only watched first season (12 eps) so far. Started great but seems to be dropping off as it goes on. From what I've read this seems to be the general opinion as well.
Other recent projects
Tamayura - nice little ova about a girl that love photography reconnecting with her deceased father. looks like it'll have a TV series in fall. Very peaceful quick watch. I recommend.
Sugar: A little Snow fairy - 12/24
cute show, solid.
Koihime Muso
solid generic episodic fantasy flaire, not too bad overall
I also finally finished Di Gi Charat Nyo which means I have officially watched everything in the Di Gi Charat Franchise now. I'm sad.... I loved it.

And now... -Summer 2011-
~My prime candidates~
Usagi Drop - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8211
I think this show is gonna be awesome. May be similar in nature to Ashitaru ze Baby (a great series!). Also a noitaminA show which are generally above average anyway.
Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera
Hilarious ridiculous show. I enjoyed it quite a bit. A lot of sexual humor and wackiness to be had. Surprisingly very high production values on this too. animation was gorgeous for a show like this.
Yeah, I loved this. Haven't seen something quite that funny in a long time. Can't get much better then a demon that looks like a giant ding dong.
Yeah, definitely need to work on Gosick some more, and with Dororon out of the way, that should be easier to accomplish.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisee - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....p;aid=8180
I'd say this is currently my 2nd favorite show. It started off excellent but has dropped off a bit. There's pretty much no conflict and its just a relaxing slice o' life kinda show. Main character Yune is a cutie. Nice artistic backgrounds and and overall decent package.
Kamisama Dolls - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....p;aid=8275
At times this show is almost laughable and I'm surprised I didn't drop this yet. Some episode have been well made but its overall very lackluster and it feels like I've seen this kind of show 100 times already. Generic plot, cookie-cutter characters, and story is a mess at times. OP and ED songs are very good though.
Double-J.
Also 5 minute shorts that look more like flash animations. Humor if you can call it that? is above my head and I think you need to understand a lot about Japanese culture to really appreciate it. Good voice cast, but I'm probly only still watching them cause they are shorts and for sake of completion.
Nichijou
My group Underwater that's subbing this is behind so I'm only up to episode 20 unfortunately so I've been deprived of my awesome Nichijou for over 3 weeks. ugh.
Appleseed XIII OVA
watched 1 ep of this and have 2nd one is good to go. Pretty solid. Appleseed fans should enjoy.
~shows I tried and dropped~
Kamisama no Memo-chou - Notepad of God - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....p;aid=8370
Watched the first ep didn't really get into it and didn't like the characters much. I hadn't intended to drop it but I've just had no interest to continue. I may eventualyl pick it back up but I've said that about alot of things.
Dantalian no Shoka - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....p;aid=7939
Watched 2 and a half episodes of this and the main girl was getting on my nerves so much that I dropped it right there half way through the episode. It was very spontaneous of me. lmao.
~other projects~
I did end up watching 801 TTS Airbats, it was a solid 90s ova.
Also watched Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. A show i started in my anime club over 5 years ago, and finally bought my own copy almost 2 years ago. I actually quite enjoyed it.
Also watched a series of short eps called Damekko Doubotsu or "Useless Animals" Cute chibi characters that look like humans in animal costumes. Senseless cute fun.
Also working on Carnival Phantasm as the eps coem out. its a Type-Moon crossover/self parody. good fun for Type-Moon fans.
I'll definitely be watching Working! season 2, and Fate/Zero, and theres more Squid Girl. all good news. as for other stuff....
I tried the first episode of Buso Shinki Moon Angel. http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8513
Its going to be a series of 5 minute shorts distributed through PlayStation Network. First one came out for free later ones will be charged, which leads me to worry that not many groups may pick it up.
anyway its based off a series of toys by Konami. They are robot girls that can fight in battle with each other. A lot like Angelic Layer. First ep was quite good for a short show that's taking itself seriously so I'm quite interested to see more and how it will develop.
There's also a PSP game for this series coming out soon, along with other games I haven't read up much on yet. It loosk alot like Zone of the Enders or Cyber Troopers: Virtual-On
There's also going to be a TV series for Tamayura, a nice little zen OVA I liked a lot. there may be other things I'll pick up too like always but that's the main stuff for now.
This is my main project as of late. I'm making a second attempt at watching the fansubs (as the dub for this show is, quite frankly, terrible at best and down right bastardization at worst), despite the fact that the original team I'm following that was translating it is apparently no longer interested in subbing it (and that nobody else has even bothered to do so for some reason). It's a shame because this actually is a good show. Surprisingly good, I should say. I'd actually compare to Jetterz in quality. It's your typical monster of the week type of show, but there actually is a surprisingly dark story behind. Have watched up to 42 episodes of it, so I'm almost halfway there (it's a 100 episode show, btw). I'm enjoying it so far.
Carnival Phantasm
A self-parody of various Type-Moon works. It's mostly silly, but as someone familiar with the shows, I find it entertaining. May be funny if you're a Type-Moon fan. They're short episodes too, so it can't really hurt too much.
I too plan on watching Fate/Zero and perhaps the second season of Squid Girl. Working!, from what I saw, was pretty amusing and may be worth checking out sometime as well.
Quote:
Buso Shinki Moon Angel
This actually looked pretty cool. I'd be interested in checking this out sometime.

Watching some more of that anime stuff. Here's some of the stuff I've watched/am watching.
Gosick
Regulus and I recently finished this one together. And I honestly don't know why it took this long for us to finish it. Easily one of the best shows I've watched in a long time. The last half of the show was incredibly dramatic and was a real treat to watch. Everything in the show was connected in some way by the last episode, and that's a pretty awesome thing. Will definitely pick the series up when it gets localized for sure, it's only a matter of when.
Carnival Phantasm
Another one Reg and I have been watching together. It's a bunch of silly nonsense, but it's incredibly amusing. The latest episode was absolutely hilarious, showcasing the Servant Berserker trying to fulfill a very simple errand for Ilya, which was to pick up some batteries. It's probably only really funny to those who are fans of Type-Moon's works, though.
Ben-Tou
This one's ridiculous. The whole premise of the show is that people gather up late night to super markets and physically beat the crap out of each other over half-priced ben-tou (think packaged lunches that you can buy from super markets). It's stupidly absurd, but I'm enjoying it so far. I also like the random SEGA references scattered around (Sonic and Fantasy Zone posters, a SEGA Saturn (complete with sound effects and menu), and even two of the characters playing a round of Virtua Fighter 2). As long as you're trying not to take it seriously you may find it enjoyable.
Hoshi no Kirby
I've watched just about all of the episodes that have been fan-subbed that you can download. Which is disappointing because I do like this one. Although some have been trying to pick up where the original fansubbers left off, it's nowhere near as good quality-wise and I unfortunately don't see myself finishing this one. Or at least any time soon.
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
I watched the "true ending" for it a while back, and it's so much better then how the series ended on TV. It was so much better, it went from a 7 to a 8. Still don't understand how anybody could like Kirino, she's just such a unlikable bitch. The other female characters, particularly Kuroneko and Manami, were much more likable characters. But anyhow, the true ending really is just so much better then the TV ending. If you didn't like it because of that, I suggest checking the True Ending out, which is how the show should've been in my opinion.
I plan on watching Canaan and Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko relatively soon as well.

~Summer 2011~
Long finished....!
Usagi Drop - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8211
Ended up being my favorite of the season. Great characters, very enjoyable! Will eventually check out manga for sure to see what all the fuss is about the turn of events.
Ikoku Meiro no Croisee - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8180
One of the better shows of this past summer. Started off fantastic but 2nd half lost soem of its charm by introducing some somewhat unneeded conflict. I enjoyed the art and setting and the ideas mixing Japanese and French cultures.
Kamisama Dolls - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8275
Generic plot, cookie-cutter characters, and story is a mess at times. A few episodes were very well directed saving it from disaster in the 2nd half but I couldn't say this show was anything better then average as a complete package. It looked like they were hoping for a 2nd season. The way it ended was totally inconclusive. It did perhaps have the best OP and ED songs of the season though.
Double-J.
More 5 minute shorts that look more like flash animations. Was not impressed with it at all minus the good voice cast. Humor definitely requires good knowledge of japanese culture and even then probly isn't worthwhile.
Nichijou
This show was awesome and funny as hell! Probly my 2nd favorite of the season of what I watched to Usagi Drop. Very oddball style of humor that may not be for everyone but if you enjoy stuff like Pani Poni Dash or Azumanga Daioh I'd recommend giving it a shot for sure.
A series where the characters go to their local supermarkets in the evening and fight each other tooth and nail for half-priced pre-made lunches (Bento). It's a totally ridiculous show but while the concept is ridiculous, it doesn't take itself seriously and can be funny at times. The fight scenes are also quite well animated and fun to watch. Some of the recent episodes have bordered on awful though. Hopefully it turns around and just keeps doing what it did early on while keeping it interesting with new characters or conflict. Also lots of awesome Sega game references all over the place.
Working!! (2nd season) - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8364
I love this series and the 2nd season has been even better then the first so far! It's considerably funnier and they keep teasing us with possible character development. We'll see. It's my most anticipated show weekly.
Squid Girl (2nd season) - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8294
Watched2 eps so far. Work on with Soniti once in awhile when we hang out. Looks like it'll be good but my initial impressions are that it's lost a little bit of the charm it had in the first season.
Chibi Devi! - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8645
another series of short episodes (I've been watching a ton of these lately since they are quick and easy.) This one is about a girl who suddenly has to take care of a baby devil. Nothing particularly great about it but its mildly entertaining.
Still working on Carnival Phantasm. watched about 5 eps
Also recently picked up K-On!
and fell in love with it! It's rather popular amongst the anime crowd but here's the link anyway. http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=6257
I love the show! It's a moe-fest with lovable characters and good fun humor. I just started the 2nd season this evening and have watched the first season almost twice.
Saikano http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=113 -
This is also known as "She ~ the ultimate weapon ~" or "The last love song on this little planet".
After having stalled this almost a year I powered through it a week or two ago. It's a senselessly depressing show. While I felt it delivered its emotional punch quite well the animation was below average and it had a weird art style I didn't totally care for. Characters were presented very well. The only other problem I had with it was the lack of explanation for the reasons behind events. Makes it hard to understand whats going on early on and slightly difficult to care about the characters and their situation until you've settled into its style 4-5 eps in and let them develop more.

I share a similar opinion with you on this show. I really hope this show gets it's act together and go back to ridiculous fights in a super market. Episode 7 (the pool episode) was silly and didn't care for it too much, but episode 8 was absolutely terrible and was almost painful to watch. We're introduced to these cookie-cutout twins who are about as interesting as cardboard and the whole episode is dedicated to them. Granted, none of the characters in the show are all that unique or interesting, but the twins took the cake for most boring characters imaginable. Just ulgh. Yarizui Sen (aka Ice Witch) lost massive points too because of something she did in this episode. Shaga (Beauty of the Lake) is definitely without a doubt in my mind the best character in the show.

Again, I share a similar opinion as you with this one. It's more of the same, as expected, but something about it doesn't feel quite like how the first season was.
Watched this one a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I loved the characters and had a hard time deciding which of the three girls was my favorite, but in the end I went with Erio. It was humorous show with some awesome things thrown in and a lovable cast of characters as well.
Anime's I am planning to watch in the upcoming time:
~ Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
~ Bomberman Jetters (starting over again)
~ Highschool of the Death
~ Rozen Maiden
~ Hellsing
~ Higurashi no Naku koro ni
~ Vampire Knight
~ Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden/Victory
~ Blood+
~ DiGi Charat
~ Queen's Blade
~ Ikki Tousen
~ Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Samurai Pizza Cats)
~ Slayers
Interesting assortment of shows you've got there. Quite a bizarre mixture actually.
I can vouch for Slayers (especially the TV series) and definitely Di Gi Charat! (One of my all time favorite shows. It's wacky and hilarious)
Queen's Blade and Ikki Tousen are ecchi fighting shows with ridiculous amounts of fan-service. I didn't care for either of them but they have their own following so I guess its a matter of taste. Just figured you might want to know what you're getting yourself into in case you hadn't done much research yet.
High School of the Dead is also on that trail but I've heard the action and events are much more interesting but it's still heavy on fan-service. I imagine it'd be hard for me personally to take that show seriously and haven't tried it.
Jetters was also quite enjoyable but I'm sure you know that since it says rewatch. lol
I've heard of all the others but haven't seen most of them. Of them I'd probably be most interested in picking up Rozen Maiden. That's probably the 3rd or 4th time I've said that in an anime topic. lmao

He, I don't mind ecchi at all, I actually like that kind of stuff ;P Rozen Maiden is a good Japanese anime, but it depends on the taste like you said before. I don't have a special liking on any kind of genre so I can watch everything without worrying haha! *cough* Though I must confess that there surely are franchises inside the Mang/Anime universe I just can't stand. Naruto as an example... far too overrated.
I watch all sorts of stuff but romance-comedy and slice of life is my bread and butter for anime. I watch a lot of those and many of my favorites are from those categories. As for categories I generally can say with confidence i'm not fond of are Harems, shounan-ai, and sports.
I kind of have my own special set of rules mainly when it comes to genres. Particularly mixing genres. The genre of the show determines what kind of a nature the show is allowed to have in order for me to enjoy it.
I don't mind a show with ecchi and can actually enjoy them but not when ecchi detracts from it. I don't like it when a show throws in fanservice just for the sake of it. You could have a fantasy action series with interesting cast and plot but then they throw something like that into the fight scenes, it feels forced unless done in a way that isn't purposely bringing attention to it and then detracts from it and kills the mood.
I also don't like when a show mixes genres at intervals. I recently finished a series called Kamisama Dolls. It's story was fairly serious in nature involving fighting with giant robot dolls things amongst a few factions however quite often there will be episode where they go to the beach for a fun trip or a vacation or shopping. Happy slice'o life stuff and it just feels to me like its interrupting the main story and is unnecessary and actually kind of annoying. It doesn't need to be there nor does it add anything to the show and gives the series bad pacing.

Heh, I thought it was somewhat amusing when VC has 2 beach occurrences, one the stereotypical ww2 beach raid seen in every ww2 movie or game, the other the stereotypical anime beach scene seen in every anime show/movie or game. That said, for that game those scenes neither bothered me nor really interested me. Mid war cut scenes were interesting enough. The beach scene was pointless.

You got some, uh, interesting things in there. Guess it's good to be open minded. Some of them don't exactly appeal to me, but who am I to judge?

That is exactly why I can't take certain shows seriously. Assuming I'd ever watch High School of the Dead, I just don't see myself ever taking it seriously. How am I supposed to when every other moment there's an obvious panty shot or other stupid things (let's use this girl's breasts to keep my sniper rifle steady while I'm using it!) interrupting the show? It's just silly to me and I don't see the point of it other then being distracting.

Yeah, this gets on my nerves too. It's like certain shows don't even know what they are trying to be and it just ends up turning into a disgruntled mess.
I don't care for the beach/hot spring/pool episodes of anime in general simply because they typically have nothing to do with the plot or whatever relevance there was is often put in the backseat whereas fan service and the like take shotgun. It's irritating and just upsets the pacing of the show.

I watched Gurren Lagann earlier this year, it is the second and final anime I've watched in entirety. People were talking about it and the whole thing was uploaded on some page, and I figured why not, I needed something to occupy myself in my free time.
It's... interesting? The battles do get pretty epic, in an increasingly ridiculous sort of way. I wouldn't say that it is my favorite show, but I certainly did enjoy it.
Ben-To
Finished episode 9 a little while ago. It couldn't possibly be worse then the train wreck that was episode 8, right? Well, episode 9 was just as bad as the last episode. This time the episode is dedicated to one of the single most annoying and despised characters I've ever seen; Shiraume Ume, this psychotic lesbian who inflicts physical harm onto our main character for seemingly no reason. She has this really annoying habit of saying "May I hit you?" and proceeds to hit him without even waiting for his approval. If it were up to me, I'd backhand her. Seriously. This character and the two recently introduced twins are some of the most dreadfully annoying characters I've seen in a long time. It's like this show is trying to piss me off now. Only got three episodes left, may as will see the end of this ride at this point. Unless the next three episodes are awesome, this will be below average at best.
Carnival Phantasm
Watched up to episode 8 with Regulus. More silly self-parody nonsense. This has continued to be humorous and I think it'll stay that way if it keeps it up. The special "Ilya's Castle" was pretty funny too, apparently based on a minigame from the Fate/hollow ataraxia.
Shinryaku!? Ika Musume (Squid Girl Season 2)
Watched up to episode 5 with Regulus. More of the same funny slice-of-life stuff. If you liked the first season, you'll like this too.

Well needless to say I procrastinated and got behind on making my anime posts again, I'm taking the time to write about it now since I at least wanted to get some of it done before the new year arrives.
It's been awhile since I watched the prior anime season again, so my descriptions for the anime series will be mostly quick, brief and lacking specific details again like for the prior season in my last big anime post.
Will list them starting from my most to least favorite as usual, not including continuations from the prior season I nabbed 15 in total this time, a lot were kind of bland though.
So without further ado, here's my Summer (2011) anime season list.
Yuru Yuri
This anime is the show that I looked forward to watching each week for this season. What we have set up here is a bunch of lively characters, and great humor to go along with them. The Kyoko character helped make the anime, always stealing the show.
Natsume Yuujinchou San
This season of Natsume didn't seem like it had those touching moments at the end of each episode like the prior 2 seasons had to offer that I liked, but it was still quite an enjoyable continuation of the story.
Nichijou
I originally ranked this anime low in my last anime post, but that turned out to be a mistake, it was the only anime in my list that I had only watched a couple episodes for. Once I watched a few more I got used to the style of humor that it had to offer, and there was the introduction of new characters as well. By that point I really started to enjoy this anime, so I'm ranking it quite high now. It's certainly a great comedy show, but as Regulus had stated before the type of humor may not be for everyone. I of course didn't find many things funny either, it had it's better and worse episodes.
The Idolmaster
When I first started the show I didn't expect too much from it, but it did get better and turned out pretty decent. Many seem to want a second season for it, but I'm fine either way since they finished it well.
Mawaru Penguin Drum
Well this show was a bit different, the first half can tend to be awkward or annoying at times. I mainly enjoyed the second half, since they got serious and explained most of the stuff.
Morita-San wa Mukuchi
I would of liked for the show to be longer than a few minutes, the OVA for it offered a view of what it would be like if it was a normal length show. Many of the jokes in the TV Series are re-used or similar to the ones in the OVA, the final TV Series was more polished and better executed than the OVA was. The show was only alright entertainment wise, kind of wish the character would just talk at times instead of remaining silent, but that would go against the theme of the show.
Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi
My first thought about this was simple and it mostly stayed at that, you couldn't have anymore of a lame main character than this, he's extremely weak and thanks to the one element in the story it allows him to keep dying over and over again pathetically.
Kamisama Dolls
It had a few good episodes at points, but otherwise it wasn't too good.
Ao no Exorcist
The show started to stray from the manga at the mid-way point, and it went to complete crap as soon as it did. Even the main story in general probably had less potential than I had originally thought, in any case this show was a disappointment.
Dantalian no Shoka
The fact that the show lacked any real story progress, and that it was completely random episodic stories pretty much ruined a show that otherwise looked like it could be interesting at first.
I'm always up to date with on-going animes, such as Detective Conan, Gintama and Fairy Tail which continue to be entertaining. One Piece renewed my interests in it after it finally stopped dragging and did the long awaited timeskip in the story.
I have yet to start the Fall 2011 anime season or even properly make my list yet, but since it's over and the Winter 2012 anime season is starting now, I'll be watching through each series and writing a more detailed opinion for each of them then I'd normally do. Since I'll be watching each series straight through in a short period of time, compared to watching all of them spread out over the span of 3 months as they air like I'd usually do.
I hadn't started the Fall season yet since I was busy with older animes instead, I'll just mention 2 of the ones that I had watched real quick.
Slayers
This one right here is a nice old classic, I enjoyed each of what the seasons had to offer. The show is about the comedy more than the story, it's has a nice little gathering of characters. There's lots of novel and manga material that they have yet to use and there isn't much in the area of character progression because of that, but it doesn't need it to be entertaining.
Mahoujin Guruguru
I had mentioned an RPG based show before called Master of Epic, which only consisted of random jokes and had no story to go along with it. This show is basically the opposite of that, it follows a story and prioritizes that over the humor, though most of the story is meant to be humorous and not so serious. I liked the first season more than the second, since they were quite different than each other. I believe in the first season there was a lot of filler and they strayed a bit from the original story, so they had to do a partial reset at the start of the second season unfortunately. They lost the voice actor for one of the main characters too, and some of the quite humorous elements like the Sappari Fairy's were near completely gone from the second season. Along with a drop in the quality of the show even though it was made years after the original, it just had an overall different feel to it. I'd like to read the manga at some point, and see how it was originally supposed to play out and end, since the anime didn't cover the entire story.
I eventually need to go through the full list of old animes, so I can find other hidden gems. Because if you randomly go about finding animes to watch, then just when you think you've seen all the good ones there always something entertaining right around the corner that you missed. Though it could be a bit disappointing once I've tackled the list, knowing that there aren't anymore pre-existing interesting animes to come across or watch.
So I was just thinking that I often don't mention anything on what the anime is actually about when I give my opinions on them, and I just say that they either did well or didn't do well, I've thought about mentioning the story at times. We normally just make 1 or 2 anime posts each per season around here, so we rarely talk about the specifics of any series in general anyway. We at least avoid spoilers this way, but opinions can sometime be half-baked without proper mention of certain elements. We also miss out on discussing about stuff that happened in an anime that may have been worth discussing, thought invoking or leaving you guessing at what could happen next.
Also it's nice having a topic for talking about this kind of stuff, I originally started this topic about an anime that I enjoyed at the time but wouldn't go back and mention again. Giving a review or opinion while being caught in the moment often isn't a good idea, since it may not be an accurate representation of what you really think of the show overall and compared to others. I do think the experience of watching a show all at once is better though which I'm doing for the season, but I relax for awhile before writing an opinion now.
Well that wraps-up this overdue anime post, I'll be making another post pretty soon to cover the Fall anime season.

I usually don't watch anime (or pretty much anything on TV once computer colouring killed cel colouring in 2003) but time to get my list on
Sailor Moon
Ahh yes the one that started the Magical trend. So far I'm only on season 1 but it's pretty silly and amusing
Pokemon season 1-2-3,6 (don't have 4 and 5)
That series that is gonna last forever (piffle) I prefer the older/first two seasons as they have more effort on the stories than later on which seem to be rather formulaic (especially the fillers) the Advanced Generation isn't too bad but I don't like the sound of season 10 but nuff of that. This series suffered horribly from the digital transfering from being too bright and flat looking that's for sure
Rurouni Kenshin
This was a series I was really crazy about (I got a big craze over samurais and feudal/Heian Japan) so I just have to get this series five years(at least the anime, I got some manga chapters on 2004) ago and I love it a lot. Pity the anime version is rife with filler
Yu Yu Hakusho (TV only I don't have the series)
The daddy of all Shonen cliches (I think) it's a really good series for me and I might just get it someday
Yumeiro Patissiere season 1
Watched half the season already, I bought is mainly to look at sweets but the story is passable for the most part, not extremely melodramatic all the time or any abusive boyfriends, on the other hand Ichigo and Vanilla's voooooiiiicceeee, I hate Vanilla as well
Fairy Tail (TV only)
Watched only one episode but since I read One Piece beforehand and this reminds me of the series (especially artwise) this seems promising
Astroboy (1980)
Only watched the first two(subs) and dumped the rest (the dub is horrible and I usually prefer dubs) the first episode I like but I dunno about the rest
Speaking of anime genres (reffering to the page Toki mentioned that she doesn't like slice of life) I don't like
Harem-sorry but why does anyone wants to be a Homer Simpson/Timmy Turner yet have 2000 hubbies?
Tsundere-overused and for Pete sake too much Tsun won't make any of the Dere side worth it
Shojo-Homer Simpson/Timmy Turner heroine again, static, cheesy romance, abusive jackasses for heroes, a very huge hit or miss
BL-same with Shojo, even huger hit or miss
Moe-I like cute admittedly but not when the eyes are too big or the character is so loli looking and acts constantly cute and dumb as well
Fanservice- No no I do not want to see b**bs and undies all over the place, that's definitely catering to audiences and I prefer the more genuine efforts (hello Hayao Miyazaki)
