There are only a few actual new screenshots, but... no sign of customization beyond antennae, nor on foot boss battles. That said, I only just now realized Brain Bomber got world 3 while Pretty Bomber got world 4. Really moving up in the world.
The labels are correct btw, Pretty Bomber has the world with the thorns and dinner tables, and screenshots say that one is world 4:
Someone earlier thought it was some kind of city, judging by the boss screenshots alone. City, trash heap... I guess it's not that far off.
In all seriousness: maybe it's some kind of industrial area? Or... a place that was attacked? There are a lot of dead Bombermen lying about outside the game field... ._.
(This might also be an indication that the Bombermen are robots?)
Also, I've long figured that the trash heap in which they were found in the beginning of SB3 was the wreckage of their ship. If Bomberman fell to Earth, and they all ended up on Earth somehow too, then I'd guess the whole ship came down in pieces.

Yeah, I always thought the same.
(Also, note the stage borders are trash conveyors.)
World 1: *beep*ing magnets, how do they work?
World 2: Ghibli movie.
World 3: Mega Man, jack in!
World 4: Dinner party at Sleeping Beauty's.
World 5: DEATH AND DESTRUCTION. THE HORRORS OF WAR. CAPITALISM.
Random thought: If there are no rival boss battles in the game, and if all the cutscenes are done in a cartoon style, there might not even exist any 3D models of the 5 bad.
I saw this, but forgot about it. Yeah they've made no indication as to what that means. Maybe the game is hiding more content than what it appears to have... That would be nice for a change.
I'm reminded of one of the redeeming features of the BMJ game for GC/PS2, which is that in multiplayer each character had a special ability they could use. (E.g., you could play as a Hige Hige Bandit and temporarily make everyone on the field pose like you.) I didn't think about it making a reappearance in later games due to the interchangeability of the usual characters even if I thought about it for the ideal Bomberman game I would never make. But given that SBR is making a point of the characters having unique personalities, I'm glad to see that they appear to be reconsidering the mechanic.
I'd think the different colors would possibly have some sort of individual unique abilities, especially since there doesn't appear to be any mounts in the game so far (). There's gotta be something to spice up the battle mode, Nintendo's pushing the Switch to be multiplayer, and competitive at that. For Bomberman to be relevant enough they would need something that sets this game apart from any other Bomberman game.
My boss (also a Bomberman fan) said something interesting to me today: "You know, it is Konami, you have to think there's gonna be some sort of micro-transactions or dlc in the game." And that made me think, what if there's dlc (or at least unlockable) battle mode characters?
i.e. playable Dastardly Bombers.
I know, that's a lot of unfounded optimism, but I'd be so happy!
Actually there are many things that we do not know about the game since we know really little and there are only leaks as you can see, I also wish Dastarly Bombers are playable characters, I'm really excited about the delivery despite not knowing at what price Will be the console and the game in my country. The important thing at this moment is to wait to know the things that have the game since the video and images show only the essentials.
