I did not say Sonic 3 and Knuckles because they are 2 separate games and you can only play it if they are combined. Sonic and Knuckles was released after Sonic 3 was and it had the ability to combine with 2 or 3. Since Sonic and knuckles had the ability to combine with Sonic 3 and make a longer better game, that's what made it amazing.
I don't think you're really correcting me cause I wasn't wrong, but whatever....
If you think I'm wrong say what you wish. I'm not gonna argue with you.
Sonic 3 and Knuckles is a fantastic gaming experience and is one of my fondest memories as a child.
What a great time to be absent from Bomberman Board when all of you guys are talking about some of my favorite Sonic games ever. Like that awesome Sonic Heroes and that godly Shadow the Hedgehog.
Oh, and I full heartedly agree that Sonic 3 and Knuckles is the best Sonic game ever made (considering its among my favorite games ever made).

Recent stuff I'm into:
Watching: A Certain Scientific Railgun (ep.14, stalled), Hoshi no Kirby (ep. 71, stalled), Nazo No Kanojo X (ep. 8), Acchi Kocchi (ep. 8)
Reading: nothing
And I've never played Shadow the Hedgehog, but I'm not sure I want to. I was interested in it, but after reading the things here and on other forums, idk...
If you're dying to know why he's still alive after Sonic Adventure 2, and the truth behind his past, then go ahead and play it. If you were able to sit through Sonic Heroes, or any other of his 3D crap, then you should be able to play this one. The only difference is that it's "darker," buggier, slower, the cast occasionally swears, and you're actually consistent with playing as only one character.
Other than that... there's really not much reason to play it. In my opinion, anyway. I'll stick with Sonic Rush, thank you.
you know I wasn't crazy about Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 but he really wasn't that bad in my opinion. His role helped the story of the game later on. Had he just died like he was supposed to then he would've been an okay character. Once they brought him back though, whatever likability he had in my view was forever tarnished. Bringing him back was not necassary.
I never finished SA2, but I did actually like that game.
Really Shadow looks cool though, and I believe that's the only reason they didn't have him die. That way Sonic fanatics can argue "but shadow looks cool!" >_>
maybe because he was more popular than Sonic, i mean, Sonic is a character you think is ok before hitting puberty, after that his over confident nature and degrading quality of voice actors starts to get on your nerves.
And all he ever seems to do is run, smash things and sleep, noting particularly deep
Shadow on the other hand is given an origin, a specific role in the game, and a likable reserved character right from the word go
There are far worse characters to moan about than him at any rate, i was saddened to see Big has made it into the new DS game, SEGA are morons

I really didn't have a problem with Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2... it wasn't any different than any other character Sega just HAS to add in every game, and I thought having a "dark" version of the title character - though it sounds incredibly cliche' - would be an interesting story arc.
And then they decided to keep him. That way, Sega makes more money by attracting the kids to have their "super awesome, dark character," and all the emo pre-teens who think he "fits their soul."

Isn't Big just a really fat, hatless Knack the Weasel? That's what I thought when I first saw him.
I don't know, I never was much of a Sonic fan. I read some of the comics many many years ago, and played a few of the games but all that is just because my brother liked Sonic.... I think.

Big the moronic pot smoking cat isn't really so bad, he put a not so terrible fishing game in sonic adventure, and he was fun to make fun of for some time. He actually had unique gameplay for the game, which is more then I can say for any of the chars in SA2. Froggy?
I don't think him being in a sonic game is any more terrible then shadow getting his own, nor is it really more terrible then next gen sonic. Nothing is more terrible then next gen sonic... current sonic team are murderers, why must they murder what used to be some of my favorite series. SA1 was fine, but it only went way down from there (SA2 was alright as well, but worse then SA1.)
