Well, there are these various sheets, but yeah I don't remember seeing WIP concepts for any of the games. It's very cool for a change. |

Mystic Echo (Mystic Hatter) concept art: https://scontent-dft4-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/17353462_1371579976198521_8112988772647252139_n.jpg?oh=7096f85f4163ff6adc8fbea0543fa10a&oe=59622261
By the way, as I was asked to do so some time ago, here are the English/Japanese name comparisons for the first five big bosses:
Magnet Bomber:
Iron Gauss is the same in both versions. The gauss is the unit of measure for magnetic induction.
Golem Bomber:
English version: Fort Walker
Japanese version: Seventh Rank. In chess, a rook placed on the seventh rank of the board is considered to be a very strong position. The boss is comprised of very rook-like castles.
Phantom Bomber:
English version: Mystic Hatter
Japanese version: Mystic Echo
Sexy/Karaoke Bomber:
Elegant Dream is the same in both versions.
Plasma Bomber:
English version: Judge Gwinbee
Japanese version: Gwinbee Judgement. GwinBee is a character in the TwinBee line of shooter games from Konami, and this is heavily reflected in the boss's appearance. It's interesting to see a Konami reference in Bomberman for a change.
To be honest... I find the Japanese versions more interesting... |

Hey everyone. Just a quick double post here for anyone interested. I recently did some streaming and played Super Bomberman R. I'm linking to two recordings here. The first is the story mode so anyone who wants all the spoilers and wants to see the whole thing can watch that. The second one is about an hour of me playing online matches. You can see what multiplayer is like and this one is entirely spoiler free (barring a few unlocks in the shop because I do visit the shop post game.)
Anywho, feel free to knock yourselves out here.

Very cool. Thanks!
EDIT: TMW you learn that Bomber D. Rufi is the same person as the other cool guy you've been following on Twitter... |

Next week sales has been updated for Super Bomberman R in Japan according to Famitsu, at 6373, bringing the game sales up to 55.663 this week. If using Media Create sales instead, Super Bomberman R did 5,583 during the same time period and brings it up to 50,756. So in three weeks, Super Bomberman R broke the 50,000 milestone which is better than most Bomberman games.
I'm not sure which one of the two is more reliable, however. I do know that Game Data Library has sales data from Famitsu since 1995. Famitsu's sales numbers also tend to be higher. |

Finally a point of view or review without spoilers, I really appreciate it a lot (Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in this place who has not been able to play the game )
It is true that the game has some flaws or things remaining, but at least we can see the positive side, and is that Bomberman returned to the consoles, one of the things I liked the most is that finally the characters have remarkable personalities (Not like the Bomberman Land failed attempt, Really I hate the personalities of everyone (except Kid Blue), especially PrettyBomber why... )
And it is true, most people would buy the game to play in multiplayer or online, but it is a special detail that Bomberman has returned to the consoles again and not be a game for smartphones only for Japan.
The truth I do not have much to say, I only know very little (And important things in history) I hope someday I can buy the game and the console and thus have the real game experience
I know I said it before, but thanks for the spoiler review, I'm very grateful to you |

IT'S NOT A REVIEEEEEWWWW I mean, thanks for the comments, guys. I figured my babbling would be mostly appreciated here, if appreciated at all. I haven't actually read a lot of other reviews of SBR yet, as I didn't want to be influenced too much before I had a chance to properly express myself. I do get the general impression that most people had the same thoughts I did, albeit perhaps not all bottled up into the same person. There'll be a much shorter spoiler-filled follow-up coming up soon that I'll end up posting in the spoiler thread.
Anyway, Nintendo Everything provides the circumstances of when the DLC was announced, but not much about what's in it or when it'll be released: http://nintendoeverything.com/free-dlc-revealed-for-super-bomberman-r/ No spoilers! |
