Can you make it one week? I'm scheduled to die in two weeks and would like to see the update before then. |
lmao!
I knew there was a reason I still check the threads for all these clone/remake projects I'm not all that interested in. |

Probably not, keep in mind that 0.4.1 will be published within next 2 weeks |
Buh, if someone was bitching at me to release something I wasn't getting paid to do, it'd probably become a dead project real fast. |

Fortunately it's just one person. Plus I think he's kind of young, so if he doesn't get it immediately, perhaps it's best to ignore such comments. He'll grow to understand these things eventually, I hope. But I couldn't help making that joke when I saw the estimated release date.
I'm pretty excited about the new release though. I haven't played Power Bomberman in a while as I've been focused with my own things like the Bomberman RPG. But I got interested in it again while reading these posts and when an update was mentioned to be coming up in the near future, I figured I'd just wait until the new version before downloading it again. |

Alright I believe that it needs to be said that this is a Fan Project and not a Commercial Project, and Jaklub is not getting paid to work on it. So what this means is that he's sacrificing his free time to develop it for everyone else for no compensation in return, and he is not obligated to do work on it or update it again if he doesn't want to.

I agree. Jaklub should release new version of this game quickly. |
You misunderstood what fireball87 was saying Andy, a dead project means an abandoned project. So what he means is that if someone was continually bothering him to release something that he's not getting paid to work on, then he would be more likely to abandon the project and never work on it again.
Though in any case Andy, I would recommend that you stop asking or rushing Jaklub to release the update. It's likely not encouraging or helping him to finish it faster, and if anything it can be bothersome and discouraging. Let him work on it in peace in his own time when he feels like it, and just be grateful that he's investing his time to further develop it, or that he spent the time to create the game to begin with. |

Music doesn't seem to work. |
You have to download musics folder again. |
Oh right, I forgot it was a separate download. |

Wow, this is... frankly fantastic. It's very clear that you've added a lot more polish to this. Aside from one match of the Battle Mode, I've mainly been playing the Battle Trial Mode... That is something that I never knew I wanted. A single-player Battle campaign that actually manages to be interesting? In retrospect, it's hard to believe that the official games that focused solely on the Battle Game didn't attempt anything with this much diversity, and only by swapping stages, starting items, and single/tag mode... An allusion to Bomberman Online (Dreamcast) seems obvious, especially with the music in the background of the selection screen, but this might just be something more.
I'm not really sure what else to say about this that isn't immediately obvious to anybody who plays it. I'll try to be back in a few days with a more in-depth analysis after I play it more extensively. For now, unfortunately, sleep is calling. |

Thank you for your continued support, 0.4.2 with bug-fixes and maybe some other stuff should be released relatively soon.
Some of the arrow tiles screwed up. |
Set Rendering in Options to 320x224 or 320x224 Filtered.
I'm actually curious where some of the music is from. I think some of these tracks would be great for my Bomberman RPG. While I can figure where a lot of the music is based on the file name / I've heard it before, there's still a few that I do not know. Could the source be named for me?
By file name:
battlehiten Hi-Ten Chara-Bomb (1995 Hudson Game Music Complete Works)
battlemenu Saturn Bomberman
battlenetde Net de Bomberman
bomura Panic Bomber (PCE-CD)
boss Saturn Bomberman
Also, the battlesuper3 is obviously from SB3, but is it a remix of some kind? It sounds like it might be. It's the OST version. | |
