I'll think about it I love comedy(although I'm more of the subtle british sarcasm humour than those with lame obvious puns) and most romance series drives me nuts

I guess if I want cooking shows I will watch Chuka Ichiban instead.

Ya know it'd be funny to see a cooking anime like that old game Ore No Ryouri(do everything in 1 minute or lose customer kinda sorta, step on cockroaches, catch ninja robbers, battle against oponents where finishing a dish makes your opponent do filler chores, etc) though instead of just being similar to cooking mama in term of unrealisticness like Chuka Ichiban is here.

Don't get me wrong Cooking Mama is good but it's just that Ore No Ryouri is more my type. Extreme hectic and even more unrealistic it will make a good anime yo.

Then again using gameplay like mechanic as animation is always LOL for me I still want to watch Sou Nanda friggin kids trap in a console great so when is RPG Maker gonna be a manga?

Edit: Just finished Kanon 2002. It's mostly alright especially later on but those gigantanomous eyes distract a lot of moments

Edit 2: Finished both Shigofumi and YuYu Hakusho. Shigofumi is good. Another hit by JC Staff.

As for YYH gees the final arc is much shorter than the first three. And weaker than Chapter Black(Tournament Arc, season 1 yadda yadda)

Tried watching one of the movies but dropped. What boring villains... Is this the best you can do Pierrot? You should just drop Shonen and do Shojo alone like you used to. YumePati SP(so is the first season) is better than Naruto and Bleach(Haven't seen Beelzebub that nekkid baby freaks me out)

Edit 3: Where's the other anime fans replies? It's quite a while already. I'm trying to cycle three shows instead of two since I was still midway oh Munto after finishing YYH so until that ends it's one of that, two of Gear Fighter Dendoh and two of Street Fighter II V before turning for three Chuka Ichiban and two Kanon(after GFD for the latter) once one or the other are done

Street Fighter II V oh looord nolstalgia... I love the games and I love this show even more

PS So what are your top 20s anyway? I don't really watch enough to consider mine yet though I got a top 5
1 Pokemon (first two season only)
2 Rurouni Kenshin
3 YuYu Hakusho
4 Shaman King
5 Street Fighter II V

One whole month passed without anyone else replying so more anime to think about.

Gees Gear Fighter Dendoh isn't as good(them fillers for a 38 episode) as I thought. Sunrise always seem to mess up in some way

Beware I've been exploring JC Staff so most of them will be from that house

Kimi to Boku(read scandalation)- Young teens all one gender friendship+JC Staff=JACKPOT

Ikuko Meiro no Croisee

Magica Circle Guru Guru

Dantalion no shoka

Agatha Christie film

Mahoraba

La Storia

Tsuritama

Oshin

From the New World

Shakugan no Shana

Little Busters

Spiral the bonds of reasoning

Natsume Yujincho

Ninin Ga Shinobuden

Angel Beats

Hanasaku Iroha

Quarterly Anime Post....

~Summer 2012 Results~
Nothing too special about this season. A few good shows and a few not so good ones.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....e&aid=8820
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Finally finished this today. Started off a bit too ridiculous but it managed to grab my interest in the middle of the show and I was starting to enjoy it. Then it went and got ridiculous again I didn't really like the ending much either. Mediocre overall.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....e&aid=9126
Natsuyuki Rendesvous - An enjoyable Josei Romance as I expected. I liked the characters and though it was a bit goofy at times it catered well to my tastes. Probly my 2nd fav of the season.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....e&aid=9158
Chitose Get You! - Another series of moe' shorts. You pretty much know what to expect. Though some of the jokes are a bit out there. Overall a so-so show. It's too short to really hate or love.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....e&aid=8742
Kokoro Connect - My pick for best of season. Interesting premise that keeps changing and stays interesting throughout. A few great characters too. Overall it was a bit over-dramatic at times and not dramatic enough at others but I liked this show quite a bit.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/anim.....e&aid=8692
Sword Art Online - I really liked the premise for this and it started off quite good but it quickly degraded into an average action-fantasy show for me. Battles are cool and animation is great and I'm curious to see how they end it, so Im'ma keep watchin'.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8986
Shiba Inuko-San - Goofy shorts about a girl that's a dog and goes to school. Meh...

~Fall 2012~
Show's I'm looking to watch/want to try...

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8575
Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb - 4th season of Hidamari, Obviously I'm going to watch this and enjoy this.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8883
Regardless of My Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur, I Want a Date! - Kyoto Animation, Girl with eye-patch and mouser. No idea what it'll be about.... Pretty much have to try it....

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9227
Girls Und Panzer - School girls participate in tank squad battles as a club activity or something of that nature. Too ridiculous sounding to not try out. Though I have low expectations.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9153
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - I'm gonna try out a J.C. Staff show this season. It's been awhile and this one sounds like it could be solid.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9386
Wooser`s Hand-to-Mouth Life - A series of shorts that sounds like it could be pretty funny.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9127
Psycho-Pass - The most promising looking show this season to me. Art is really cool looking and concept sounds interesting. Also noitaminA channel slot.

Finished Street Fighter II V a while a go. Fun classic...

Trying out Daily Lives of High School boys together with Gear Fighter Dendoh and Chuka Ichiban.

Damn Daily Lives of High School Boys is crazily funny. One of the better Sunrise shows

Yeah Nichibros was a riot! I thoroughly enjoyed that series. I love the different types of humor throughout the show. Keeps it fresh and helps it appeal more to a picky audience.

the voice cast was fantastic too. Tomokazu Sugita is always great at whatever he does.

Hidenori he was a great one not your stereotypical oranyan megane. Sadly the links on Youtube got wiped out so now I have to put it on hold don't like the Highschool girls are funky, Motoharu's sister and Ringo though(matter of fact the only female I like is Yacchan)

Gonna watch Tsukihime Lunar Legends to replace that series for now. Also finished Kimi to Boku 2 (but now on season 1. I have a very very very strong suspicion most of the better comedy are on 1 after reading the manga and JC Staff works season 2/ANY season that does not say 1 are never better)

I like it a lot but it's a little too serious compared to the few episodes I saw of season one. Season 1 is on my favourites but I think a lot of shows are better than season 2

Edit: Saw Tsukihime Lunar Legends. I will definetely finish the series

The segments with Motoharu's sister were a slippery slope for me, but on the other hand I always enjoyed high school girls are funky and the Ringo segments. Ringo was probably my favorite girl in the cast but Hidenori is the best character by far.

I just thought the scenes where the boys student council try to help her with stuff were hilarious.

Eh true. Anything with Motoharu sister is very miss.

Halfway on Tsukihime Lunar Legends. While it may be the one responsible for that 'There is no Tsukihime anime" meme I think it's a great show. Then again I didn't play the game(not touching any eroge, if I showed any interest it's for d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t reasons.

Almost done with Kimi to Boku. Boo I really like the anime especially season 1, need more JC Staff series though I will go try out Gundam Wing soon.

List after one or all of the shows are over
Gundam Wing
Finish up Kanon 2006 I already saw 4 eps before. It's better as a whole yet there's something about Toei's version I like a lot as well. I guess it's the outdated colouring, those character designs are HIDEOUS and I can't believe he used to work on Sailor Moon

Two months of nothing...

Oh well I was dilly dallying anyway

Finished Tsukihime. Wonderful show pity it was only Arcueid's route shown. Hisui's route in the game always fascinate me.

Almost done with Kanon 2006 but got stuck near the end. Shiori and Makoto routes are my favourite.

Tried Digimon Frontier but the dubbing is terrible so I'm halting to find the JP version.(I only hope to god they do not sound like they are screaming 24/7 like their transformation footage)

Got Clannad for an early present since I can't find the original language. Key Visual+Spring= jackpot

Wow! I can't believe two months have gone by! lol

I haven't been watching as much as usual lately and my previous season was quite light. I've been really focusing on games lately. Maybe I'll make a game post later...

But I'll go ahead and give an anime update...

~Fall 2012 Results~

Sword Art Online - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8692
Started off pretty great, but then it continuously dropped off some and picked back up a little as time went on. I'm satisfied with how this season ended. I don't feel like I'm forced to watch more if I'm not up to it. It had its own nice conclusion per say. It hasn't covered all the material of the original light novels though and it's probably going to continue later on.
I probably would consider watching another season since I love Miyuki Sawashiro and she's supposed to play the next main girl. However I wouldn't be going in with high hopes.

Chitose Get You! - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9158
and Chibi Devi - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8645

Shorts series that I probably wouldn't recommend unless you dig that kind of thing, like i do. They aren't long enough to grow to love or hate. They are simply a short waste of time.

Chitose is done airing now. It's jokes were VERY hit or miss. Sometimes I got a good laugh others I just kind of shook my head and wondered why I was still watching it....

Chibi Devi is ongoing. Thankfully Chibi Devi is the better of the two, heh. It's cute and sometimes funny. I recently realized of I've been watching this show for over a year now. I've been in it for the long haul. It looks like it'll be at least 50 episodes. Currently at 40...

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9153
I'm enjoying this one so far. It's going to continue into the next season. It's not anything amazing or revolutionary though. It uses a lot of old romance-comedy tropes but J.C. Staff really pulled it off well this time. It's pretty solid. I might just really like the characters though. Liking the characters will help the show grow on you a lot.

~Side Projects~
There were a number of series I've finished in the past couple months.

Boogiepop Phantom - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=179
This can be hard to follow and the animation feels a bit dated, but it's still enjoyable. The atmosphere keeps your attention and it's fun trying to figure out whats going on.

Sakura Diaries - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=138
Kind of a trashy ecchi show with a douchebag male lead. I liked the main girl though and got some laughs out of it. From what I've read on the net, the manga gets terribly dark farther then the anime covers.

Also my cousin and I are slowly crawling through....
.Hack//Roots - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4324
It has nice music and animation but it's a total bore-fest! I wouldn't recommended it except to perhaps die hard .Hack// fans. There's tons of still frames and super indecisive characters and nothing really progressing. It could've easily told the same story in 1/3rd of the total episodes....

______________________________________________________________

So I'm glad you've enjoyed Tsukihime and Kanon Hienfan. Two of my favorite shows.

Tsukihime was great when I watched it years ago. I've always been curious about the VN but I've never taken the time to check it out for myself. Someday I'm sure. Hisui was one of my favorite characters. Akiha was my least favorite. She always annoyed me.

Kanon 2006 is also fantastic. I'll eventually watch the original version as well to check out the differences in adaptation. My favorite arcs were Ayu and Shiori. Makoto would probably be my 3rd.

I've had the first half of Clannad on my shelf for awhile now and I'm looking forward to it. I've been holding off so I can watch Air first. the first of Kyoto's 3 Key adaptations.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=2002

I fear if I watch Clannad first I won't enjoy Air as much,as Air looks a bit aged in comparison. I'm also a bit worried that Clannad is probably one of the last great Romance Drama Anime left out there that I haven't watched yet... So I've been saving it. lol

Welp now my Anime datas are starting to be filled with shows without any scores and I halted Kanon to try to get the last five eps or watch online as a final resort

Watching Clannad. Fuko is so annoying man with her starfish fetish

Got Fate/Stay Night as well. Looks promising enough

Watched D.Gray man with relatives, looks decent but one ep out of 108 isn't enough to give a score (I noticed they can watch their anime on their laptop yet I can't do the same with my own PC, if I did I'd watch shows I'm more dubious about just to have some scores that aren't so absurdly high and take some pictures for my own shallow scenery collector reason)

Also they are gonna insert Shakugan no Shana and some other shebangs someday so I will watch these as well

Completed the two Sailor Moon movies and Kiki delivery service for movies example. They are all really enjoyable

Have fun with Fate/stay night. One of my very favorite shows.

If you can, be sure to watch Fate/Zero afterwords. It's arguably even more awesome.

I'm not gonna go into too much detail here but this season I've picked up a few things...

My little sister is an Osaka Mama!
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9522
Shorts show with very low budget animation. It's good its short, cause it would get annoying and repetitive. Kana Asumi makes me laugh. She holds this together.

Tamako Market
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9525
Kyoto animation original work. Off to a good start. Show has a nice calm feel good atmosphere. Opening and ending songs are great. The bird character is rather amusing to me, though some find him annoying... I'm looking forward to see how the show will progress and what it will turn into.

On the side I'm semi working on Psycho-Pass (which is really a show I have to be in the mood for, though it is pretty good so far.) and Pet girl of Sakurasou, which I'm not liking as much in the 2nd half...

I've heard of all of those but Gargantia.

A buddy of mine is watching Kotoura-san this season and he's told me its quite good. I might try it later down the road.

I like Jormungand's character designs and it sounds like an interesting story, but again I haven't tried that either yet.

Yama no Susume is a series of cute-looking shorts. I'm sure I'll end up watching it eventually.

But yeah, I haven't seen any of them. the ones I've heard of seemed somewhat interesting to me though.

My anime activity has been very weak lately. I'm falling VERY far behind on this season... Only having kept up with Osaka-Okan and Tamako Market. I've been very absorbed in videogames lately.

I should be getting a new computer soon so that may change things! I will once again be able to run and watch HD anime. With this ancient dino computer the choices I've had each season are slim pickings of xvid and other 480p files. Many groups don't bother with xvid encodes anymore, which is understandable.

It's not too difficult. if your PC is good enough all you'll need to play files is Combined Community Codec Pack. It comes with Media Player Classic and all the codecs you'll need to play most file types in a single player.

http://www.cccp-project.net/

Then you can find episode files in all sorts of places. I use Nyaatorrents and bakabt a lot for example.

My current computer is an old piece of junk though so I'm using an ancient version of VLC player that can only run xvid files and some 480p files.

I was wondering about Yama no Susume since they are only 2 minutes long and the studio behind it only particularly known work is Infinite Stratos that painfully generic harem

Yama no Susume is good to have a good laugh and probably some "awwww" on the road I suppose.

And don't badmouth Infinite Stratos like that. Sure it's... kind of disturbing with the genre, but I love the sci-fi, so I overlook that.
... and then there is Vividred Operation which makes me wonder if I should even bother with.

Ha ha, nice! Another anime fan on board. It's always fun seeing the different tastes of anime fans and hearing the different opinions.

One of my buddies was raving about Vividred Operation but it doesn't look like my thing either. He compared it to Strike witches which I also wasn't too interested in.

What are some of yor favorite series?

and do you use any record keeping sites?
