The full opening cutscene is out in both English and Japanese! You can find both of them linked on the Bomber Base post I just made along with notes about the Japanese VAs. /too lazy to copypasta the info here
@legato: Once all of the profile cards are out, I'll put 'em up on the Base -- will that work? At the moment I'm doing them one or two at a time.
The official website was updated as well with character profiles for everyone. I think the profile for Pretty Bomber in particular is different between English and Japanese versions, so I'd appreciate someone properly translating that.
Pretty Bomber is now Sexy Bomber in Japanese and Karaoke Bomber in English. I am... disappointed. Brain changed names too, though, he is now Phantom Bomber.
The intro movie confirms the Bombermen are robots though they can apparently still eat burgers and build up muscle. On an unrelated note, Buggler (with an extra g in English, it seems) sounds like a Kingdom Hearts villain, lmao.
Thanks for the heads up. I did see the link to the Japanese page on Tumblr, but good to know that there's an accompanying English page. Means less work for me and BDR. Probably.
I am nowhere near as good as BDR in identifying seiyuu or reading Japanese, but I was able to figure out enough that it looks like Buggler's Japanese VA is Kotaro Nakamura, the new voice of Dr. Eggman from the Sonic series. (Link goes to his Japanese Wikipedia page.) Which basically means that our jokes about calling SBR Bagular "Dr. Eggular" were eerily on point, rofl. (IMO, this is the only acceptable alternative to him being voiced by Mugihito, who portrayed him in Bomberman Jetters.)
Also I continue to be 110% into Pretty's redesign. (Perhaps less so on the name change, but eh.)
AHEM. A more formal Base post will come soon, but I bugged BDR over text at work (because this is how we do) and here's the rundown of the seiyuu for the Dastardlies.
For Yanagihara and Hirai's credits, the page also lists the comedy act they do together, America Zarigani. They've been at this for a while, so I'm going to be disappointed if we don't get comedy antics with Magnet and Golem. (The interaction between Gangu and Bongo in BMJ was pretty much tsukkomi and boke.)
@herrDoktorat: BDR checked the profiles, and the descriptions are basically the same in both languages. The main difference he picked up was that the Japanese description for Red Bomber flat-out calls him a "hot-blooded idiot" (熱血バカ), as opposed to the English profile which is a little nicer about it.
Green's description in Japanese also refers to him as the team "mascot," as opposed to being everyone's favorite little brother, lol.
Well, there's not much to say about the art credits so far, but here they are anyway.
I wanna know who's behind the music...it's definitely not Chikuma, but I'm unsure whether they brought back Shohei Bando from BGen. (The reason I bring this up as a possibility is because I remember there was some portable Bomberman game several years back that used the BGen theme as battle music, so I'd been wondering if that was going to become the new Bomberman theme.)
