perhaps try this...
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?vtype=tag&type.web=1&type.unknown=1&type.tvspecial=1&type.tvseries=1&type.ova=1&type.other=1&type.musicvideo=1&type.movie=1&show=lexicon&relid=1057&orderby.name=1.1&orderby.airdate=0.1&noalias=1&cat.minweight=100

I sorted anidb's list by shows tagged with vampire girl by the date. Keep in mind there aren't many old ones, and not all shows meeting that requirement may have been tagged as such.

lmao, theres also the slight possibility it was a non-vampire girl in a coffin.

Quite a list you got there. Very ambitious!

[Collapse] Of all that, here's what I watched and liked:
Madoka Magica
Azumanga Daioh
Princess Mononoke
Angelic Layer
Video Girl Ai
Sakura Wars OVA
Outlaw Star
Akira

[Collapse] Stuff I haven't seen but am interested in/haven't finished but still interested
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
Cardcaptor Sakura
Whisper of the Heart
Kanon
Kiki's Delivery Service
Castle in the Sky
Kimi no Todoke
.hack//sign
Chobits
Full Metal Alchemist (I did not see it all, but I saw most of the first season and it was pretty good, intended to finish sometime)
Ouran High School Host Club (kinda the same deal, but it's for the most part a comedy anyway)
Princess Tutu
Bubblegum Crisis (saw a handful of the original OVA and thought it was pretty good, also interested in the Tokyo 2040 series)
Gankutsuou (saw some of it a while back, found the art style very unique and intriguing, but didn't give it much of a chance, will possibly try it again)
Legend of the Galactic heroes (my brother tells me nothing but good things about this show, the only thing that's really keeping me from watching it is just how long it is)
Nichijou
Nodame
Ghost in the shell
Slayers (I liked the movies based on the series, so I'd probably like the tv series as well)
Kare Kano (don't remember if I watched it all, remember the animation quality getting pretty awful towards the end. seemed pretty good too)
Maid Sama
Monster
Kino's Journey

[Collapse] Stuff I didn't like or have no interest in (watched a little of or otherwise)
Gurren Lagann
Neon Genesis Evangelion (watched a large portion of it, did not care for at all)
Gundam Wing (OH NO IT'S A GUND-- (dies from sword slash that wasn't even hit by))
Fist of the North Star (perhaps a bit too manly for me, but maybe I'll try it one day)
One Piece
Ranma 1/2
Inuyasha
Viewtiful Joe
Boogiepop Phantom (saw some of it at my local library a while back, wasn't very interested)
Higurashi (looks too twisted for my liking)

Anything else not listed can be classified as no opinion, as I haven't watched/heard of/whatever.

Hmm she doesn't really look like a vampire to me

As for how I knew some of these strange shows in other ways

That one with a picture of a girl in a coffin was in a rummage sale unfortunately I can't read the title in addition to remembering practically nothing

Gear Fighter Dendoh, I had a PS1 game out of it when PS1 games were still common
so that's how I know of it

Is there any show anyone in here that doesn't like? I mean shows in genres you actually like/don't mind

I mean I don't like Kuroshitsuji and it's suppose to be Shonen (or Metal Gear Beyblade really why do they have to revive it for?)

some great shows...

Kino's Journey was definitely an interesting title for those that like things that are different from the norm. Kino was also an awesome character. I'm of the opinion that its not a show that people can easily get into. it seems more-so targeted at a hardcore crowd or people that like to think on things in depth. What I liked most about the series was its traveling concept so you'd know every episode would be something quite different from the last and it would keep your interest quite well because of that I remember the railroad episode and the ep about the voting society and the "play warring" nations being my favorites and quite interesting..

Monster I've heard good things about all over and intend to try out myself someday.

Kino's Journey brought a lot of things to the table, subverted idealism, human characters, and some good writing. It's rare that stuff like that comes from the juvenile fiction genre. It also had it's motto of "The world is not beautiful, and therefore it is", which can apply well to the darker sides of this world that we tend to ignore.

Monster is as far as I know the only Psychological Thriller genre anime I liked, I'd probably not have watched it if my standard anime suggestion friend didn't tell me to watch it every time he recommended something until I did. (I generally don't watch anime that falls above 60 episodes often.) It has the advantage of being one of the best planned out animes in existence... I should probably watch it again.

Ehehe there's some stuff nobody knows (No distribution, no advertisement either) that I found lurking around sites though to be honest I'd probably be unable to find most of these ever since Megaupload died unless someone bothers uploading all of them to Rapidshare(hell it took me forever to find Ryokunohara Labyrinth and it was on Megaupload)

I found most of these on the No Subs club on MAL (Only four of them I found somewhere else
Akachan to boku
Sou Nanda(too bad I really cannot find downloads for all 26 episodes even)
Akazuki Chacha(that isn't obscure though)
Bouken Yuki plaster world
Battle Spirits Shounen Toppa Version
F-Zero(if only because of Captain Falcon)
DinoZone
Fushigi Mahou Fan Fan Pharmacy
Flint the time detective
Gegege no kitarou
Mahou no angel sweet mint
Nurse Angel Ririka SOS (took me this long to remember the name. I swear to god Kodocha, UFO baby, Mirumo De Pon, Akazukin Chacha and Marmalade boy all look alike)
* Now that I think about a lot of Gallop work look very similar to one another
Origami warriors
RPG Densetsu Hepoi
Hime Chan no ribbon
Tsukikage Ran

Might as well calculate how many stuff I'm interested in/already seen and like (hope you like the post stretched as they are gonna be too short horizontally to consider hiding)
1979-1
1981-1
1985-1
1986-2
1987-3
1988-5
1989-3
1990-2
1991-2
1992-6
1993-3
1994-7
1995-10
1996-8
1997-7
1998-9
1999-15 (LOLOLOL that's when I saw Pokemon and Street Fighter II V... actually that's how I got interested in the styles of Japanese media)
2000-7
2001-10
2002-15(oh my god...)
2003-10
2004-9
2005-4
2006(I notice at this point anime has increased a wholotta lot)-6
2007-5
2008-1(terrible year only thing I like is Amatsuki)
2009-4
2010-3
2011-5
2012-2(if this medicore thing keeps up my count is gonna decrease even more)
By decade
1970-1(Lol Doraemon but I'm really only interested in the 1990s version)
1980-15
1990-68
2000-71(I blame the early 2000s they took up over half the list, then again I once said I prefer shows from 1994-2003 so...)
2010-10
For no good reason about that 1994-2003 thing...
1994-2003=99 WOOT WOOT, 1990-1993+2004-2009=39
It's a bit strange I prefer show after I was born(around 1994) despite the fact I haven't seen most of these until I was older same with 2003 I was on a gradually disinterest of new shows at that point

I've heard of a few of those titles...
Chacha
Flint
Sweet Mint
and Himechan's ribbon

I did want to watch a couple of them. especially Chacha since i saw it in AMV Hell. lol

Ahhh year stats, fun fun. Well guess I'll list mine too since I can use this opportunity to update my own decade statistics file.

Sorted by when it STARTED airing, will not count long running shows towards other years. Only shows I've seen all or part of as well.

~YEAR~
1970 - 1
1979 - 1
1981 - 3

1986 - 8
1987 - 8
1988 - 7
1989 - 14 ~ a lot of good OVAs
1990 - 9
1991 - 6
1992 - 9
1993 - 6
1994 - 13

2008 - 17 ~ The year I watched Galactic Heroes (110 episodes long)
2009 - 21
2010 - 39 ~ The year I started following anime by season, notice the dramatic increase...)

~DECADE~
1970s - 2
1980s - 67 ~ 3 of my top 20

2000s - 216 ~ 13 of my top 20
2010s - 99 ~ 1 of my top 20, recently added Fate/Zero, first one in almost 3 years. Show was awesome! Better then Fate Stay/night

Keep in mind I've watched a lot of older stuff in recent years, not back when it aired or was licensed/popular.

~How many titles I've watched per year.~

O.o over 200s in the 2000s... That's enough to fill in the 2006 list

It's strange I got a lot in 2004 despite the fact I consider 2004 is when media started to get bad, hell a lotta shows in the time had a really hideous palate like Nanoha (as hype up as that show is can it get any uglier?Extremely bold colours, huuuge eyes, hair shine looks terrible) and Elfen Lied (Toki used to like this, I cannot really see why. This appear to be a really bad blend of Moe, Ecchi and horror)

So thoughts on dislike shows or a the very least strongly disinterested that no persuading will ever consider you to like it?

I'm not listing Garzey Wings despite the fact it was on So Bad it's horrible somewhere just because someday I'd probably just watch it to see how LOLtastic bad it is

My thoughts by year
1981-1
1992-3
1994-2
1995-2 (yet weird enough I think I won't mind lesson XXX as much as Golden Boys and Level C.Especially Level C yeeesh it was really plastic looking even back then with a horrible design)
1996-1
1997-1
1999-3
2000-5
2001-5
2002-5
2003-6
2004-9
2005-5(I'm not interested in Eureka7, there's many much better stuff Bones do, also I hate all of the Compillation of Final Fantasy 7 so...)
2006-7
2007-7
2008-9
2009-2
2010-6
2011-14 (that's overkill to say in the least)
2012-4 (We'll wait til the year ends to see if it ends up getting as many as last year)
Overall
1980s-1(Urusei Yatsura made it)
1990s-12
2000s-21 for early 2000s+39=60
2010s-24(I'm not surprised it managed to be higher than my early 2000s list. If this keeps up it will beat the late 2000s as well)

OVERALL
1979-1
1981-2
1985-1
1986-2
1987-3
1988-5
1989-3
1990-2
1991-2
1992-9
1993-3
1994-9
1995-10
1996-8
1997-7
1998-9
1999-18
2000-12
2001-15
2002-20
2003-16
2004-18(a 50/50)
2005-9
2006-13
2007-12
2008-10(something is seriously wrong when the only show I like in 2008 is made by Studio Deen the hatedom for many people)
2009-6
2010-9
2011-19
2012-6
By decade
1970-1(I can't stand the seventies on western cartoons so I can't anime on that decade as well)
1980-16
1990-77 (Why so low?)
2000-131 (yet practically half of them is on my hate list really)
2010-34

Might consider lurking around some more for more rare stuff. Mainstream rarely catches my eyes (That's one of the reason I find Pierrot sucks these days other than their borderline non existent quality)

I'm a bit confused as to what you new list is by how you worded yourself.

Am I correct in guessing it's a list of shows you "don't" like by year?

I don't have much input on that topic. I don't keep statistic data for stuff I'm not interested in.

Yes the second one is my list of what I don't like

The last one is overall

The first is only like/interested(I might not like some of the work I listed in the end though I mean by the time I find Gear Fighter Dendoh/G Gundam/Turn A Gundam I'm not sure if I'll ever like Z Gundam or Gundam Wing as much again because I prefer lighter series over oh so edgy ones)

Time to list some shows I've seen when that I didn't list here

Pokemon-My first ever I love the original generation especially during Kanto, I like Hoenn as well but not as much. But I don't think I'll ever like the last two as much they come off as stale by that point

Street Fighter II the animated film-I like it a lot I'm a fan of fighters this included so it's nice to see a film of one of my favourite series especially since it was made when Crapcom was still good

Street Fighter II V-Okay I know this one has average reception(how did it get canceled in less than a year then) but this is my favourite Street Fighter adaptation for whatever reasons. Oh wait... this is the first Street Fighter show I've seen. Seen only 6 eps though, ep 3 is weeeeeeird in the beginning a bit too gay for my liking

Excel Saga(YouTube)-Saw three eps before the ones that were aired on the TV are silly and funny but that DVD only ep is creepy like hell

Tamagotchi-I was exposed to it through the Corner shop games and eventually deciding to watch the animes are well. Saw Let's Go Tamagotchi on Youtube and have the first film. I like the series although I prefer the film over the first series. It's terribly short like the Ape Escape flash cartoon on Nicktoon

Shin-chan(Okay this is manga only but I don't know if anyone else read the manga and it's a hit from where I'm from so...)-My cousin had it. Blech I can't stand the humour in that series

Astroboy 1980-Only saw two eps had to quit cause for some reason only the first two eps are available in Japanese on the net. The English voices of many character drives me nuts and I'm one of those people who prefer dubs

Astroboy 2003-Currently on hold after one ep because I'm on Yu Yu Hakusho and Amatsuki(the rotating of three ep of longer series and one significant shorter ep series) now but I like it a lot more than the 1980 version

Keroro Gunso(Youtube)-Someone once suggested to me to watch Keroro Gunso as it's a comedy series I tried before while reading the manga online but when I decided to try watching a few eps on Youtube I dropped it. It reminds me of the Simpson in a way relying on exaggerating everyone into a 2D stereotype to 200

Kanon 2002(Youtube)-tried the graphics are horrible for it's time(plenty of 2002 show even computer coloured I've seen look much better than this) but gonna survive how bad it is probably rewatch

Shaman King-It was actually loaned but I decided to return it when I got a feeling I won't be able to finish it on 11 days. Of all the stuff Xebec have I have to say this is my favourite

PS Got Madoka and Whisper of the Heart a few days ago so once I finish Amatsuki, Madoka is next

Edit: Maaan I don't feel too good(headaches, hard to concentrate on anything) lately but just finished Amatsuki really good show but cut short sadly

Madoka is next on the list while I multitask with Yu Yu Hakusho (woot 1/4th done)

Redit: One one ep left of Madoka I got stuck with some shows called Munto and Shigofumi so Shigofumi is next after Madoka. Ehhh both Munto and Shigofumi are so so for me so far

Yu Yu Hakusho 50% done. Toguro is one creepy beefy dude.

I've been suggested to do a job on digital animation so I guess I have to try some more newer series. Only problem is, almost EVERYTHING by Sunrise/IG/Pierrot/JC Staff these days sucks and Arms(yes they are mostly an 18+ studio but those that are not are all utterly unwatchable as well)Comet/Synergy SP/Daume all sucks no matter what.

More stuff to add after lurking around

Bakusou Kyoudai let's and go(found it on a store but chinese only)
Ghost stories (found it on a store in the original language actually)
Animal Yokocho
Natsuyuki Rendevous

Ahh... I missed your edits. I wish there was some kind of notification when someone makes major edits. like some kind of threshold of maybe 50+ characters so it wouldn't just go off everytime someone just makes some grammer/spelling corrections or something.

Anyhow!

I'm sure the old version of Kanon is good but it's animation is pretty poor. The 2006 version by Kyoto Animation is one of my favorite series of all time but people have said some of the arcs are done better in the first adaptation. I actually haven't seen it yet myself.

I remember Whisper of the Heart being a pretty good movie. It is Ghibli though. lol, so most people will like it.

Madoka Magica was oe of the best shows of its airing year. At the time I thought it was amazing! It hasn't left much of a lasting impression on me though. I still haven't had the chance to pick up my own copy yet. Though I want to.

What did you think of Madoka? I'm assumnig you've finished by now.

I was curious about Shigofumi. It looked like a show I might like.

It's been quite some time since J.C Staff put out something I liked. There were a few I wanted to try. Waiting in Summer looked interesting but I never got around to trying it.

I'm told Joshiraku airing right now is okay but it's just 5 girls sitting around talking and it's all japanese style jokes.

Interestingly enough I just found out next season they'll be adapting Little Busters!. Which is one of Key's (Kanon,Clannad, etc.) visual novels that never got adapted. I'm told the visual novel is quite good.

I'll probably be making my seasonal anime post soon but Natsuyuki Rendezvous is one of the shows I am watching. I'm liking it so far, but it's not for everyone.

I'd reccomend Sword Art Online and Kokoro Connect from this season so far.

Yep just finished Madoka. It's pretty good. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is the only Shaft anime I prefer more

Wasn't Tales of Earthsea one of the least popular Ghibli movies? I dunno really

Dunno about the Kanon thing I'm still not done yet with the 2002 version and I only seen 2 eps of 2006. However that character Jun Kitawa was a lot less annoying in 2002. In 2006 I wanted to break his teeth the first time he spoke.

Ooh yeah Swords of art online! I saw some landscape of it on Tumblr. They look amazing, other than Kuroshitsuji(probably Togaino no chi as well, haven't seen it but Yaoi usually rubs me wrong) I don't mind A-1 picture work at all

Gonna add Sankarea as well. It's a non bishieroid Deen series after all, Deen is my third fav after Gallop and OLM

A-1 Pictures backgrounds and animation a top notch. IMO the only prettier studios are Ghibli and Kyoto.

I love Shaft though. They are my favorite studio overall these days. It's mainly their unique style that I adore. I've seen pretty much every non-sequel anime they've produced since 2009.

Of all time I'd say I liked a lot of Mahouse and J.C Staff's older work so I'd include them on a list but not much notable from either of them in recent years.

Though we've already mentioned A-1 Pictures, another company I've taken a liking to in recent years is...
Feel - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=creator&creatorid=1006
Though a lot of their shows border on trashy I think their animation looks nice.

Particularly I'd like to mention
Papakiki - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8686
and Yosuga no Sora - http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=7656

Yeah, that's completely true, as long as we're talking about the border between trashy and softcore porn.

Oh hi Papa no iukoto. I saw this show somewhere but I dunno if I wanted to watch it or not.

Hi Galaxy Angel on the feel page. Though to be honest I find the Madhouse version more interesting looking.

Wut the heck at Minami-ke, I hate Daume but I prefer their style over this one

About the A-1, Ghibli and KyoAni thing. People have the guts to say IGProduction is good... Sorry but I prefer Xebec(Megaman FTW) and BeeTrain over IG by a lot. Only problem is IG keeps pushing all these weird obscene series to Xebec lately while they are degrading in writing direction/adaptation themselves

About Shaft I only seen two shows by them sadly thing is most Yonkoma adaptation like Hidamari I find myself a bit skeptical. Lucky Star was too one note with jokes I don't really find funny that isn't a Yaoi joke or the Initial D Parody. All Yuri jokes fly out of my head ever since Sailor Moon (them Haruka/Michiru and the teasy moment of Usagi/Rei especially the latter gave me a headache) only Azumanga Daioh so far managed to be funny for me (Osaka everything LOL, Drunk Nyamo LOL)

Also they did some harem like *beep* Negima harem always fly outta my head

My main favourite studios are OLM, Gallop and Deen as said before but I also like Xebec(When doing their non fanservice stuff), 4C, Madhouse and Ghibli. Funny thing is I prefer the split studio(Deen, Xebec, BeeTrain, Shin Ei) over the main one

Seriously believes that Sunrise rotted once Keroro Gunso came out yeck. It's like the Simpson anime form.

I.G has done some great stuff. They aren't one of my tops but They'd easily make a top 10 list for me.

I haven't seen much from Xebec yet. They're solid but I don't find anything special about them.

Bee Train doesn't have much but I do like them now that you mention it. Phantom: requeim for the Phantom is one of my favorites. I also intend to watch their other "Girls with guns" themed shows at some point. Especially Noir and Madlax.

lol, well I on the other hand prefer the Feel Minami-ke to the Daume one.

as far as Shaft goes it's ALL about style. I agree that it's not everyone's cup of tea. if you like 1 of their shows you will probably enjoy over half of their catalog.
(You can skip Dance in the Vampire Bund tho, ugh....)

Yeah, that's completely true, as long as we're talking about the border between trashy and softcore porn.

lmao, Well if you were referring to my examples I agree on Yosuga no Sora most definitely but Papakiki really isn't as bad as one might think at a glance. There's a bit of soemtiems mood ruining fanservice but overall its a light-hearted fluff show.

I liked both of them BTW.

I guess I am starting to like more trashy shows then I used to though. I notice I picked up 1-2 a season lately when I used to do 0 or maybe 1. I think it's cause I'm generally easy to please.

Hardcore Anime fans can probably be split into two very broad groups. The over analytical ones that like hardly anything but watch A LOT and those that watch almost as much as the analytical folks but on the contrary find 3 quarters of it solid or better because we do alittle research and generally know what we like.. Granted the other guys do research too but their research usually makes them go into most shows with a negative attitude. We look for stuff we know we'll probably like. They look for flaws before they've even started...

It was mostly a joke. That said, Yosuga no Sora is one, and from looking at their works list, Kiss x Sis is another, but really, if you're watching that, you obviously know what you're there for.

I never like thrashy shows and I still don't

Which is a big problem with Xebec case since after Megaman X Days of Sigma that's all they ever do bad quality fanservice, far cry from Martian Sucessor Nadesico and all their Megaman stuff

Still though I still hate Daume the most of any studio even I mentioned I prefer Daume's version to Feel(though maaaan their Minami-ke's animation is horribleeeeee)

I dunno whatbout those series with one studio at first but switches suddenly at some point, Rurouni Kenshin got pretty ugly once Deen took over from Gallop. Deen is never good for series that have too many bishies.(except for Amatsuki but nobody knows it to be mainstream), Sunrise didn't do too good a job at Inuyasha(too many horrible fillers) compared to Deen's effort with Maison Ikoku and Ranma 1/2 though on the other hand season 1 Yumeiro Patissiere could be better without Pierrot

On other hand their comedy(Mon Colle Knights, Ranma 1/2) and series with more female(Full Moon O Sagashite)/cutesy(Bomberman Jetters, Mon Colle Knights again) characters are top notch

I dunno but most of the forum I'm in hates Deen, JC Staff(not surprising since they like milking the hell out of those horrible Tsundere and exaggerating all of them to painful levels with a bland generic style) and Xebec

Speaking of styles moe seems to be awfully popular but there are a few different type of Moe some like Arina and the more recent KyoAni works are alright but others like them JC Staff Tsundere and all Synergy SP series are horrible on the eyes

Just opinion on horrible art? I don't like eyes that are too huge, huge bodies, tiny headed men with big chin and no cheeks and those generic Hisashi Hirai(Gundam Seed, Fafner, Heroic Age) style I swear I seen a million times

My Quarterly Anime Post....

~Spring 2012 Results, a bit late~
As a whole my last season was kinda so-so.

Acchi Kocchi - I enjoyed this show for what it is. It doesn't really develop much/if at all but it's cute and it's funny. It panders to my tastes so it was an enjoyable show. Slightly above average.

Nyaruko-san - This was quite funny at times and the characters were mostly likeable. Some good parodies and references. Otherwise average. Kana Asumi as the lead also helped make this fun.

Mysterious Girlfriend X - I really enjoyed this one! The music, voice cast and art were all a refreshing experience. The Retro art style and the new rookie female lead actress were quite nice. Story was slightly above average but enhanced by the characters/cast being likeable. Probably my pick for the season minus Fate/Zero which was a given.

Fate/Zero 2 - Yeah. This was friggin awesome...! It's better then Fate/Stay/Night. Ufotable's animation was mind-blowing at times!

I think I neglected to mention Ufotable in our animation discussions since they haven't done a crazy lot of stuff yet, kinda like Bee Train. Definitely worth a look though.

Tales of Symphonia, Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/Zero are all excellent examples of their work.

Getting back to Fate/Zero, the characters were all awesome. I especially loved Berzerker and Rider. Such bad-ass men! Fight scenes were awesome, especially the ones toward the end of each season. Anyone that's even slightly liked Stay/Night simply has to watch this. They will love it, guaranteed.

~Summer 2012~
My picks are as follows...

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8820
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Show is Meh so far.... A bit too goofy and some iffy characters but I do like the character designs (Incredibly similar to Amagami SS! Same studio and everything.) Not sure how it's gonna go may still turn out decent. Only seen 4 eps so far. From what I can tell it's been delayed a few weeks due to the Olympics...

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9126
Natsuyuki Rendesvous - An enjoyable Josei Romance as I expected. I look forward to this each week. I enjoy the main guy's interactions with the ghost and I find his love interest, the older flower shop manager rather cute. Caught up to episode 7.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=9158
Chitose Get You! - Another series of moe' shorts. I usually pick these up. They are all pretty much the same and it's just another title added to my list. Sometimes I get a laugh or two but they are obviously too short to be anything noteworthy. Caught up to episode 7

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8742
Kokoro Connect - This one was my pleasant surprise of the season. I figured it'd be a light-hearted, slice o'life comedy with a twist but its more serious tone and turn toward drama/love polygon is turning out quite interesting! May be my favorite this season if it keeps this interesting atmosphere. If not I can safely fall back on Natsuyuki Rendesvous. lol. Caught up to episode 6.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8692
Sword Art Online - Picked up by recommendation from my friends. Very interesting show. Animation is fantastic (A-1 Pictures). Premise is very interesting and it'd done very well. I easily plowed through the first 5 eps. If it were a completed 13 episode series I very well probably would've finished it in one go. It can pack a nice emotional punch and overall kind of has a depressing atmosphere at times. The fast pacing is nice though and leaves no time for you to be left thinking things over or get bored at all. Everything is above average so far. If it keeps this kind of intense pace and good stories I'd be happy to watch 50+ episodes of it. Caught up to episode 6.

Overall this season is shaping up to be considerably better then the last one. I've got 3 shows I'm really digging so far.

In other news, The Papakiki special came out and I quite enjoyed it. In retrospect I realyl miss that show. It had great characters and a nice atmosphere.

I also watched Grave of the Fireflies. A terribly depressing movie. It was good but I don't think I could watch it again...

Ya know how I knew some of these show I blacklist? I kinda stumbled onto them on TV or try watching them online to see if they are worth getting. By the time they ended I will go "Blech it wasn't worth wasting my 25 minute"

Gonna start mentioning about them overrated series aesthetic first

I remember Toki used to like Elfen Lied. Never seen the show but gees the design and colouring are U-G-L-Y I know what people say about older digital colouring but I find 2004 is the worst and it's newer than 2000-2003. Plus there's so much nudity for a violent show it's crazy

Nanoha has the same problem on both the aesthetic and colours.

Code Geass while newer has this horrible pointyass design with looooong spiney limbs, it's weird to think the same group used to do Cardcaptors Sakura

Toki also once sent in a link about someone saying anime is not cartoon and all this BS that all non anime cartoons are for kids and Naruto(Never seen the show but the quality is abmyssal), Bleach(not interested), Rosario Vampire(harem/GONZO QUALITY) and Kanokon(ecchi) are awesome shows while Soul Eater is the best ever. I know a lot of show better in the categories/studio it's in:

Xebec(to be honest back then I didn't expect to like this many shows by them I did like Shaman King but I didn't expect them to do Elemental Gelade as well): Shaman King, Elemental Gelade, Martian Sucessor Nadesico, Bakusou Kyodai, Megaman EXE, Megaman Star Force, Megaman Days of Sigma, Tales of Eternia
Gonzo: Full Metal Panic, Gankutsuou
Bones: Full Metal Alchemist, Daughter of Twenty faces, Phantom Memory Kurau, No.6
Pierrot: Yu Yu Hakusho, Great Teacher Onizuka, Flame of Recca, Sonic the movie and Fushigi Yugi
Shonen(not on the previous list): One Piece, Astroboy and Yugioh
Cute girls: Kanon

Now then back to good anime

I saw a cover of a series named Kimi to Boku somewhere it looks interesting enough being animated by JC Staff that isn't milking loud whining tsundere but ended up getting Street Fighter II V over it

I know Regulus like Working but I don't really know I'm more interested in business aspect(not all business though but it is set in a restaurant and making food always look fun to me especially sweets<3 I love artsy related stuff) but it seems like there's a lot more focus on romance and that aspect is hardly used that it feels like a cheap setting gimmick

As far as Working! goes it's main focus is more so slice'o life and comedy. The romance element is rather weak (especially in the first season.)

The restaurant theme is mainly used for its setting and for it's jokes. It doesn't really go deep on cooking. You see them making food but its more so about the life of a waitress and cook at work.

With the group of quirky characters you get situations that wouldn't normally occur in restaurants so that's what makes it funny/interesting. If you're looking for a cooking aspect then you'll probably be disappointed. If you're against romance element it may still be worth a try cause it's more so a comedy overall.
