Well people don't have to look at your moblog/journal/etc for it to be successful to you.
I mainly use my weblog to record my memories. That way I'll remember when things I did occured. When i got certain items etc. I don't really care if people make comments although it is a nice bonus. *shrug* In fact it really depends on who comments and what they say to determine if that'll even count as bonus.
