Hmm, you are quite correct. The B Button does not need to be pressed. Somehow I misinterpreted the manuals' descriptions and carried over that misinterpretation while testing in the game. Thanks for correcting me there.  
Also, hahah, that bit about piggybacking sounds like a great way to turn the item's intended use on its head. |
