Even though I'm interested in getting the WiiU, I'm not in any rush to get it since I have a long unkept list of games that I need to play from the current and prior generations, which I have yet to even touch. The game that I'm most looking forward to for the WiiU out of the announced titles is Pikmin 3, though Ninja Gaiden 3: RE looks like it has some pretty awesome action to offer.

As for companies not caring about their fanbase, you have to consider that they're a business before anything else so it's to be expected that they'd only make games or systems for the profit. Since development costs keep increasing with every generation, there's less room for taking risks with innovative or creative ideas anymore. Therefore they just make what sells, and we get more of the same generic games.
