I'll keep this short for now, and get to a few others later, since you mentioned Contra 4. I think it should be on either top or medium tier. It was one of the best games in the Contra series, aside from Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES). Despite that it didn't exactly sell well, WayForward Technologies did a good job on behalf of Konami before they got on with the "Mighty" series, and Shantae: Risky's Revenge as well.
However, the fact that Contra 4's action takes place with two screens at the same time, it does take getting used to -- whether you're going solo or partnered up with someone. |
