I just think that as the only remaining Bomberman fandom on the net, we should have better things to focus on than who's banging who.
Exaggerations aside, I still do not see any real reason to be rude about it. Fans just do that, regardless of what the material is. Not really much more that I can really say about that.

According to Wikipedia, it seems that it's not really known exactly where or when the term came from, although it's been in use for a while now (possibly before 1996).
The only reasons I looked it up was to confirm what the term meant and also because I have nothing better to do right now.
