I think it might be Konami's fault. Or at least, I can tell you Konami hates subtitles.
Castlevania on the N64 was originally called Mokushiroku (which can be translated as either Apocalyupse or Revelations, I've been told), but outside of Japan it's just Castlevania. And The GBA/s Circle of the Moon? Same thing: in Europe the subtitle was dropped and it's just Castlevania. |
