Here's the Fantasy Race guide. Sorry for taking so long, I got distracted with other stuff and have been very, very comfortable with being a lazy ass these days. The only guide I've got left to scan is the Max guide, though I've ordered the Japanese versions of Baku Bomberman and World, so I'll get around to them once they arrive.
Baku and World arrived today. Here's the World manual, though I haven't got looking at any of the text yet though to see if there's anything interesting. The game did arrive with a translation of the Japanese box back (not just a copy of the real English back) and a fold-out sheet containing instructions from the American manual was included. Rather nice additions from the game store, but it does mean I still don't have a hi-res scan of the Japanese box back. >:U
How are you coming up with all this so quickly? Nevermind. It would ruin the magic.
Surprisingly, it looks exactly like the US manual. Only in Japanese.
Anyway...
Quote:
モリモリスター - Forest Star
地の星 - Star of Earth
ティーボ - Tiibo
トレント - Trent/Torento (same as the regular enemy)
Quote:
ヒューヒュースター - Wind Star ("hyu-" is the sound of the wind)
風の星 - Star of Wind
アチアチスター - ??? Star (Now I see where the European translators got "Ouch Star", but "Achi" most certainly does not mean "Ouch" in Japanese... Dunno what it is)
火の星 - Star of Fire
にゃんじろう - Nyanjirou (one character different from the original Virtual Bomberman name)
ブクブクスター - Bubble Star (no No NOOO! We already had a bubble star in SB3 >_<)
水の星 - Star of Water
リック - Rick
イカリンガー - Ika Ringer ("Ika" is a squid)
Quote:
ブラックスター - Black Star
闇の星 - Star of Darkness
ゴッドヘッダー - God Header
So yeah. Pretty much accurate, at least the US translation (to my recollection). I don't know who was smoking what on the European one, what with leaving things untranslated and all.
I'm not sure why they give two names for the stars. Either the second one is for a straight-forward version of the name, or the first name is the actual name and the second one is literally "Star of [Element]", as a description of the star rather than a name. Don't know.
Never made the connection before now, but... "God Header"... "God Bomber"... Hmm....
Surprisingly, it looks exactly like the US manual. Only in Japanese.
I'm kinda concerned that, for some ungodly reason, the manual is reverse-translated from English to Japanese, like the opposite of how the back is just the Japanese one made English. Unlikely as hell (I don't know why such a thing would be made!), but I cannot help but feel the game's legitimacy is now in question!
And here's the Baku manual (still uploading as of this writing). It's got the loosest binding I've ever found in any of these books and manuals, and I am eternally thankful for that - I never expected those two-page area spreads to actually come out semi-decently!
Couldn't it be the -same- planet as in SBMan 3?
In the past, I tried determining what planets could be revisited between different BMan games (like, could this planet from BMan93 be one of those we see in SBMan 3? Things like that).
What I'd really like to know is why Hudson is so obsessed with calling planets stars... and what they'd call actual stars given the need. Suns?
Wow, that's some beautiful artwork there. Too bad that for obvious reasons we can't get one for Sirius' palace.

Ooohh so the Yonkoma debuted in the first Bomberman Land. I have read some of the Yonkoma in Bomberman Land 2 it has the same style as the Super Bomberman Yonkoma
PS Since I can't access a PS emulator what am I gonna do? I can't burn it since my burner is incompatible with the Playstation and I don't know any burner that can at all since the guys that sells those things are so stupid they don't even know what's the differences between every burner
